UPDATE to respond to Owner: The employee who answered the phone didn't offer any of the info you wrote and was very unfriendly. I call folks like this sales prevention representatives. Keep in mind you never get a second chance to make a first impression. Also you missed my point about hiring someone full time to help load items. Makes no sense to not have someone to do that. ORIGINAL Review: Sorry (NOT sorry), I'm not going to drive an hour to buy furniture and you can't guarantee there's help to load it into my vehicle. Absolutely ridiculous considering how many large items are sold here that can't be lifted by one person. Prices are high enough that you can afford to hire a full time employee to help with this. Not everyone can bring someone to help. Lost me as a customer before you even had me. Too bad for you.... I have an entire 4000 SF house to furnish. Will be shopping elsewhere that knows how to treat...

After trying to shop for bedroom furniture for weeks, I am SO EXCITED that I finally made it to The Hickory Tree. All of their items were in great condition and seemed to be the perfect mix of trendy and eclectic. If I could have bought out the entire store I would have 😭 I ended up purchasing a desk, chair, small decorative plant and framed print during my last visit and plan on visiting again soon to check out their new items and pricing. As far as furniture and decorations go, their prices were very fair and they have reduced prices marked on the items for if the item hasn't sold after a certain...

We shop here even when we really aren't needing anything...you never know what you're gonna find! Over the years, we have found several great furniture, lamps and accessories for our home and we have consigned a few pieces as well. It was fun getting a check in the mail for items we forgot we had! Everything in the store is styled nicely and in a way that inspires you to want to go home and re-decorate! I love how they sometimes upcycle older pieces with fresh paint in fun colors. The employees are super nice and helpful. There is just a good vibe...
