There's a reason Powers BMX Shop is always mentioned in any discussion where real riders talk to each other.

The Powers BMX Shop is owned and ran by Chad Powers, a BMX rider for BMX riders. And like I mentioned in my opening statement. I found out about the Powers BMX Shop by the recommendations on all the forums from other riders. Everybody said to shop here, as opposed to the larger sellers that pop up when you use a Google search.

My experience with ordering from the Powers BMX shop was one of the best experiences I've had with ordering anything online in over a decade.

I needed a special wheel built so I ordered all the parts and selecting the wheel building option was masterfully built into their website. The way it's set up, it's designed to try and prevent a buyers mistake when placing the order by hiding options that don't fit together, however, it won't prevent you from ordering incompatible options and requesting the build, it just tries to help mitigate buyer mistakes.

If you guessed that I was one of the dumb dumbs that ignored the easy selection of compatible parts and ordered incompatible parts, you were correct.

I realized my mistake and called the shop early in the morning and Chad himself answered the phone. I couldn't believe it. I was talking to a celebrity in the BMX world!. He was incredibly nice and spoke to me as if we had been friends for years. We had a chuckle about my mistake.

Of course I had to make things more complicated by wanting a rim that he didn't currebtky have in stock, but Chad wasn't concerned. He checked his distributor and said he could have the rim I wanted extremely quickly, and he was right! He had the new rim and wheel built and shipped to me in 3 days. It was incredible!

In the interim, I called twice more for other questions and each time I called, somebody answered the phone and everybody was awesome, super nice, extremely friendly, and really helpful. They were all BMX guys and were so chill to talk to.

I can't brag enough about the inventory, the quality of products and craftsmanship, and the level of customer service. This is exactly who you should purchase all your BMX needs from!! Support your riders...

Powers BMX is simply the best. Chad and Danny are always willing to help, always down for a good convo, and always have the best prices/fastest shipping in the industry. From custom builds, to complete bikes, to upgrades, to new/used parts, custom wheel builds, clothes, etc, powers is always there to take care of us and anything we need involving a bike. They will also work with you on any repair to a product purchased from Powers. Dont get me started on the BMX museum inside the shop, you’ll be stuck there for days and won’t see a quarter of Whats there. If I could give 0 stars I would. They are not customer friendly and do not help customers the way should. They are hesitant to do the mechanical work on bikes because of an anticipated rush of customers. when they do the work they keep old parts and when you are replacing something because of size they do not tell you that you are getting the wrong size.

Basically I went in to replace 155mm cranks with 160mm cranks (not knowing I already had 160mm). They didn’t tell me that I already had 160mm cranks and won’t do a return and they kept some of the parts to my old cranks so I can’t put them back on.
