Are you joking? I thought it would be a good spot, except its not. The traffic is bad there already, and to make it worse they've build so many more places next to it, you would think they would at least make the entrance from a different street...nope! So now you got rude drivers in a hurry, cutting off other drivers in a hurry, almost crashing into you. And then the parking is set up next to the gas pumps, which is close to the front store entrance...Just Horrible layout! Then you go inside, not any better! You have people, not just shoppers, but workers too, cramming doorways to go in and out! And the food court, not any better. I mean I thought they were gonna be smart when they built a new Costco. I guess they didn't consider crowds of people. We went earlier morning before noon, and another time near an hour or two before closing; Honestly, I dont think it matters what time you go. Too many Costco members rushing thru shoppers, and using up stalls in the restroom, bcuz the line isnt quite long enough for just shoppers. Plus the self check out line isnt any faster when there's inconsiderate shoppers checking out more than 10-15 items. No wonder other shoppers have such miserable attitudes. The only good service was the guy checking us out at the self checkout...funny...I thought it was self check out. Oh and the happy Gentleman standing in the entrance telling us welcome & thank you for choosing to shop...
Read moreI like this Costco because it’s not that busy and it’s newer. And I like Costco in general.
However, Sharon at the registers does not have the ability to speak to people respectfully. We’ve been going to Costco for years and while the membership is under me my husband usually pays. Sharon wasn’t very polite in telling us that he can’t pay. She asked my husband if he has his own membership and he said no. To which she replied then he can’t pay and made sure to emphasize that it’s been like that since Costco has opened. Which was a surprise to us because no one has ever said anything to us otherwise. Being a newer Costco my husband asked since this Costco opened. To which sharon had the smart reply of “Since Costco opened 40 years ago”. So I just pulled out my card with the money I share with my husband anyways and paid.
Costco please keep hiring people that treat us like criminals. Keep ensuring your employees treat us like we’re doing something wrong for a membership we pay for regardless if my husband is on that account. At some point you got to trust the majority of people who continue to get your membership and buy from your store. Also I’d be less upset at Sharon if she took the time to respectfully let us know the policy and what we can do to avoid this in the future like adding him to the account rather than acting like we’re doing something...
Read morePoorly trained staff, unpleasant attitude, and disorganized service
We went there to purchase a gift card. We asked a staff member who was assisting customers at the self-checkout machines where we could pay for the card and were told we could use “any checkout, including the self-checkout machines.”
When we tried to use one of the self-checkout machines, it didn’t work. The staff member checked with her supervisor, then returned and told us we needed to go to a desk past the checkout area. She took us there and asked us to wait for a supervisor.
A supervisor, who was also assisting at the self-checkout area, eventually came. She told us, “You need to go to a cashier-assisted checkout. We will help you this time, but we don’t do that.” She repeated this several times, with an unpleasant and arrogant attitude, as if we were asking her for a special favor against store policy.
First of all, it was their staff who misinformed us that we could use the self-checkout. Then, it was their staff again who directed us to the wrong place again. Instead of taking responsibility, they made it seem like we were at fault. The experience left us feeling that the staff are poorly trained, disorganized, and quick to blame customers for their own mistakes.
I was initially very happy when this Costco opened, but I am becoming increasingly disappointed with their...
