Stater Bros. Markets — Local services in Highland

I came into store 210 on Greenspot Road in Highland around 9 PM to grab a few last minute groceries. I got in Vanessa’s line and right away she had a very unpleasant look on her face. She asked if I wanted paper bags and I said yes then I tried to be friendly and asked how her night was going. She said good. I said it’s been a long night how about you and she didn’t respond at all.

The look on her face never changed the entire time I was checking out. She just seemed like she didn’t want to be there or didn’t care. This is a brand new store and employees like her are the face of it. I feel like she should have a better attitude or at least greet customers in a more respectful way. This isn’t the first time I’ve had this type of experience with her either. Hopefully something is said so the customer service can improve. I will still give it 4 stars because the store overall has great customer service and always great the customers when walking in or...

The store is a super nice new store. But my irritation is specifically with the purchasing of their cooked chicken. The 4 and 8 pieces have special prices that they sometimes require specific pieces. For example $6.49 for one of each 4 chicken parts. Understandably if I wanted more than 1 breast its not fair to expect the special price. But when I want to swap out the thigh for a leg or wing, its frustrating to be asked to pay individually for each, which exceeds $6.49. Thighs individually costs more than my requested leg or wing swap. Even if I only wanted 4 pieces with legs and wings, (no breast or thighs) individually the total also exceeds $6.49. In these inflationary and overall degrading times, this policy is thoughtless towards their struggling community. When this happens, I do without their chicken! Walk out, and complete my shopping for other goods...

Thought this was going to go differently.

1st: The meat guy didn’t even wrap up my meat correctly. It wasn’t busy by the way one other person being helped but seemed rushed. 2: I asked an employee where to find an item she told me she has no idea where the item would be found. Didn’t bother to ask someone else either. 3: The cashier up front including the bag boy had the worst attitudes maybe they were busy in the day and didn’t get a break attitude. I went in at 6pm very slow one other person in front of me. They were not busy at all to have this attitude. 4: The only thing that was pleasant was the cart guy outside he was friendly and even asked to take my cart and seemed genuinely friendly.

I know they just opened a couple days ago so I will try to update and hopefully they work on the things that needs...
