I've been going here for about five years. There are bigger and nicer theaters within easy driving distance, but I try to break it up and go to this one as often as possible for the very fact that it is small and it's in a small community. I was here 1 day last week and and during the movie there was a song that I couldn't identify but I knew was familiar. So when the movie ended, I stayed in my seat to watch the credits and learn the name of the song. From behind me.. some lady says.. hey are you coming with us? It was just all too weird. I just looked at her and again she said come on, are you coming with us? So I turned around and resumed watching the screen but she continue talking to me. Hey come on it's time to go. So, I said I don't know what you're talking about but i'm watching the credits or i'm trying to. I honestly didn't know if she was part of the staff or one of the people who had been behind me watching the film.. And I finally just turned around and shut her out. But I could hear her still talking for another minute. Once I saw the song list and got the information I had been looking for I stood up, exited the theater and there she was, seated out by the lobby... I guess waiting for the place to close. So I assume she was part of the staff or somehow associated with the theater, but that was one of the strangest and most unpleasant experiences i've had in a theater in a long time. Between the ticket and the drink and popcorn and some kind of candy with a grossly inflated price.... I spent close to twenty five dollars by myself. So for somebody to rudely try and march me out of the theater while there's still anything on the screen.. I find it...
Read moreI genuinely hate to do this because there isn’t much to do around here and movie theaters are my favorite place to go. But I’ve had so many bad experiences here it’s time to talk about it. On multiple occasions the owners have been very rude to me, as well as they now have a rule where they refuse to actually play the film if more than 5 people don’t show up. There was also another time where me and a friend showed up 5 minutes late to a film so they refused to sell us tickets and yelled at the date I had brought there. Yet another time where I was lectured and judged by the owners for bringing my 12 and 13 year old niece and nephew to see Deadpool. And another time when before their “no playing movies unless more than five people show up” rule started… when me and three other friends watched Slenderman together where I suppose we were laughing and joking too loudly ( we were the only ones there so we didn’t think it was an issue) where we were shushed and once again lectured. The owners are rude and there is a good chance you won’t even get to see the movie you want to see out of the limited two choices they offer (only one of which usually being a popular sought out one) so my suggestion is either to drive out of state to watch a movie or go to the nearest city because this place just isn’t worth it. The popcorn is good tho I guess so I’ll give them that! (That’s how they got the one...
Read moreWe arrived early to see Spiderman on a Tuesday night. We werent greeted, but told to just stand around to see if anyone else showed up. If not they were closing. Five minutes prior to the previews starting, we’d been standing for 20 minites because there is no seating in the lovby, I asked whether or not they were showing the movie. Ken went on a diatribe about how the pandemic is killing theaters and they were not going to be open for just us. His wife began locking the doors so we left. My guess is poor customer service and high urban level prices for a medicore theater are what’s killing...
