I strongly recommend AGAINST this company because they're unethical, unprofessional and lacking in any customer service whatsoever. They failed to properly diagnose the cause of the problem with my dryer and left it in a dangerous state, then when I called to complain they were rude, obnoxious and unresponsive. My Kenmore dryer was spinning but not getting hot, and the technician diagnosed the problem as it's thermal fuse had blown. I asked him multiple times what caused that, and the first time he answered "it's old", then when I asked the second day when he came back with a fuse if it was because my vent was clogged and he said "it might be". Then before he left I asked how do I know it's not going to blow again and he said "it shouldn't as long as your vent isn't blocked". Because I was fearful it might be blocked I didn't use the dryer again until after I was able to have the vent cleaned out a week later. After that I put a load in to dry, but the unit continued to give off heat when i opened the door mid-cycle. Then when i started it again I noticed the top of the dryer was much hotter than normal and lowering the temperature had no effect - the unit was just running way too hot. I attempted to touch the back but it was burning hot to the touch, which i felt was dangerous so I stopped the cycle and unplugged the unit. It appears this company feels no responsibility to determine why a thermal fuse blows, only to replace the blown fuse and take the chance it's because your dryer vent is clogged without verifying that's the cause. internet searches turned up the fact that thermal fuses were required to make sure dryers shut off when malfunctioning and running too hot to prevent fires. the technician also only let the unit run for 2 minutes to determine it was "working" when i now realize I should have asked him to run it longer - which would have likely blown the fuse again if the vent was blocked, or would have run too hot as it did when i used it. then he would have been confronted with not having fixed it properly - and then would have to ask me for more money to fix some other part? Do you see the problem here? They charged $125 just for the service call, and another $210 for the repair for a total of $335 for which I got no assurance my dryer was actually fixed, only that it "should" be. I believe if he had spent more time diagnosing what was wrong the repair price would have been much more and I would have turned it down - and he would have made less money by spending more time to properly diagnose. Their supervisor didn't respond in a courteous manner when I informed him I was calling to complain - he thought he was just going to send the man back out, but I asked if he would fix it for free. He started behaving childishly and putting the phone down or holding it away while pretending our connection was bad. This is a professional organization??? Their owner called me several days later - but wasn't in the least bit apologetic for his company's performance or behavior as well as making multiple excuses that were obvious lies and contradictions. i couldn't imagine being treated in a more insulting manner by a company that negligently left my dryer in a dangerous condition, ignored their responsibility when I attempted to complain and then tried to fast-talk their way out of it. I advise you to stay as far away from these people as possible. Reply to owner response: the owner was not courteous or professional when he called. he did say he was willing to give "some" money back at the end of the conversation but never offered a full refund. maybe he should have started off the conversation with that instead of arguing and behaving obnoxiously for 25 minutes. his claim that he "Tried to explain... what is going on and to help..." is just not true. there are other sources of reviews that paint a different picture than what you may read in this forum, so i recommend you do some more research before calling them....
Read moreOne of the worst experiences ever with customer service, they have been out 3 times unable to fix issue with refrigerator but that's not the worst, I was told to get a new water line, I called to make our 3rd appointment and asked if they wanted me to put me water line in, exact words "don't worry we can take care of that" no mention of charge, my wife was home when they came they charged her $125 to replace water line, its like attaching a garden hose, I would have done it, they decided to take advantage of a woman and make some money, $125 is an excessive charge for something that takes 3 minutes, I called as I needed to make 4th appointment since they can't fix issue, I mentioned the charge for water line and that's when service manager said oh $125 that's usually $185, my wife saw on techs computer it says $125 for installation of water line, he lied, this is not an install it's a replacement, I was also belittled by the service manager calling me an idiot and then started twisting the story as I couldn't let my wife make a decision about paying for water line, such an unprofessional company also incompetent, hope this helps any looking
And if the company responds its just then covering the unprofessional behavior, I rarely take my time to write reviews
Exactly what I said they had to respond for unprofessional behavior, maybe stand behind what your employee states on the phone to me, not once it was stated to me, you rip people off especially with women, taking advantage of situation, nice try trying to blame communication between my wife and I, the was no miss communication it was bad businesson your end, just wondering what would have been done it if I was there. I wonder how many others you have ripped off.
BTW didn't you tell me you were losing money on repairs like this? Yes you did, not a good business model. I guess you just overcharge and rip people off when you see fit....
Read morePEOPLE: read the reviews before you call this company. Any reputable business would acknowledge and try to resolve issues from customers who post negative reviews. Not the case here. They acknowledge and thank the positive reviews and pay no attention to make right the issues with the customers who did not receive proper service. I had them come out to repair the ice maker on my fridge and change the light bulbs in my vent/hood. The service charge was outrageous and not deducted from the cost of labor. I was charged $55.00 per light bulb, I needed 2, and then when they arrived they were the wrong size. The tech then proceeded to tell me that they were discontinued so he wouldn't be able to replace them. A few months later a friend came over and showed me how to remove them myself and find the model number. The replacements were available at Home Depot for less than $15 for both!! I wound up doing it myself but was out the money for the service charge, $89.95. The tech who came also needed to order the part to replace my ice dispenser. When the part finally came, he needed to see a YouTube video on how to remove the old one and install the new one. During this process, he damaged the area where the ice dispenser sits. The dispenser still does not work properly. You have to push extremely hard, and in a certain area, otherwise it does not work. When I called 3 or 4 months later, to say I need it looked at, the manager said they would need to charge me again, another service charge AND they would be sending the same technician. He would be the one to determine whether it is malfunctioning because of a faulty part, or because of our misuse. How do you misuse a water/ice dispenser? Terrible. Dishonest. Arrogant. Stay away from these folks, spare yourself the aggravation and look for...
