Taco Rito has the freshest food and veggies. I am a local who has recently discovered Taco Rito and have to say an absolute must try for tourists and locals alike.
You can usually find Sam (the owner) working hard behind the counter along with several other friendly workers who never fail to greet you with a smile. From working in the customer service industry for well over 6 years I have to say their service goes above and beyond (as well as their food for your tastebuds!)
I am a huge foodie and love foods from all different backgrounds, and Taco Rito has the best Mexican Cusine around. And yes, I mean it blows Chipotle and Moes out of the water. Flavor ingredients and culture.
Taco Rito is located on a small strip right in the center of Hightstown, it is brightly colored and nicely decorated with potted cacti sitting in the window.
All of the items on the menu are fairly priced too! There are very few items that go over $11. You get a huge bang for you buck here, very nice sized portions as well.
I will continue to recommend Taco Rito to my friends and family because the quality and taste is something I can stand by.
I have had the opportunity to try multiple items off of their large menu (they also have menus in spanish with more traditonal meals!)
If you plan on visiting Taco Rito I would recommend the
Chicken Tortilla Soup(oozing with cheesey goodness, shredded chicken, tortillas and fresh cilantro)
Chimichunga (fried burrito w/rice, beans, onion, pico de gallo, chipotle mayo & my favorite is to get it w steak)
Burrito Bowl (typical burrito bowl stuffed high with your favorite ingredients.. need I say more?)
Fish Tacos & Baja Tacos (usually I am not a huge fish fan but their fish was nice and crisp topped w/amazing sauce & not usually a fan of pineapples but somehow they made the food just flow and it all went together so nicely)
If you have been thinking about trying TacoRito but have not yet what are you waiting for? The freshest food packed with flavor is right around the corner.
Please give it a try, I promise you will...
Read moreWow! I have such great things to say about this place! I'm gonna start off by complimenting how good their portion sizes are. Their rice bowls were huge and left leftovers that I was very satisfied about. The food was delicious and the employees were super friendly. When you walk in there's a self-order kiosk, which I appreciated a lot as it gave me a no-pressure way to choose what I wanted, especially since it was my first time visiting! They have pre-made options for burritos, bowls, tacos, etc. So much to choose from! I chose to build my own bowl and was surprised but happy with the amount to choose from. You can pick a max amount of 7 toppings in your bowl (not including rice, beans, and protein option). I got spicy rice with shredded chicken as well as some other toppings. The shredded chicken was very good and very well seasoned. The pineapple I added was fresh and gave such a nice flavor to everything. We ordered for take out, and we were told it'd be about 12 minutes from the man behind the counter. We walked around town while waiting and a few short minutes later we recieved our text that it was ready! When we walked back in the man had it all ready and packaged for us waiting there, followed by a super friendly goodbye. Two bowls was $20. What a great price for how much food you're given! I will definitely be sure to visit again, as I was extremely pleased with my visit and what...
Read moreThis is worst Mexican food with not good experience overall. We went there at lunch time and ordered veggie quesadilla and veggie enchiladas. First of all it took forever for our order order to astilbe with no customers at all in the premises and all we could notice was two peaople at counter we placed order with chilling out not to bother to prepare for our order. When our order came to table the quesadillas were all Messy and soggy with big chunks of vegetables and all liquid juices/water coming out of it.. it was the worst quesadillas I have ever seen and tasted. By chance I happened to check enchiladas filling before eating and it came to my notice that they were not veggie ones instead they were meat ones. So we brought it to the staff’s notice. They said nothing and brought us the veggie enchiladas. Guess what! They were not enchiladas! They were plain tortillas with veggies inside and the whoever made them didn’t even bother to wrap them properly, on the top just put dollop of sauce and done! NOT BAKED or NOT EVEN WARM! There were these whatever you call them in front of us but certainly not Enchiladas! The taste of food was pathetic! How they made there food was pathetic! And we paid around 20 bucks for this food! This is worst food joint with worst food ever and not to forget with...
