I’m so infuriated right now. I went shopping here a couple days ago, As I have many times. Normally, things are not the best, but they have a decent variety of produce which are always in stock. I have had to bring meat, produce and there already cooked rice back numerous times. Things happen🤷🏻♀️ But this time by far was the worst time. Again, I purchased rice that was already cooked, Had to return it due to mold. I’m sure a lot of you were going to wonder how I didn’t notice it right away. I was in a huge rush and I was just grabbing a couple things quickly. Once I got home and realized the rice had mold on it I immediately called the store. I spoke with a woman that was very understanding and told me to bring it back and she would give me a refund AS WELL AS get a new rice. I explained that I wouldn’t be able to come back until the next day. She said that was fine. The next day comes, I return to the store to bring back the rice. The lady at the counter tells me I could pick out a new rice OR I may have my money back. I inform her with the lady on the phone said yesterday. She then told me that since I don’t have a receipt that is not possible. When I say this lady was rude, I mean, she was unprofessional, illtempered, annoyed with my presence and rolled her eyes while raising her voice at me. I then told her never mind. Give me the rice back. As I started to walk away because I was not going to be treated like that I thought to myself no I’m gonna speak with her supervisor first due to her behavior. I asked for her supervisor and she laughed, Then yelled in Spanish to the side room. A woman comes out, and I explained to her what happened with the rice. She then informs me of the same thing that the previous lady told me. I explained to her what the woman on the phone said the day prior. She tells me that she didn’t work yesterday And without me having a receipt, that’s all she could do for me. I then call my boyfriend at home and have him send me a copy of the receipt. I showed her the receipt and she says she still can’t do both. I said then what was the point of getting you the receipt? And she said to make sure you were telling the truth about when you bought it because I can’t believe that this is our rice. !!!!!!!! Now I’m pissed. Not only are you Now calling me a liar, I had to drive 45 minutes out of my way just to bring back some moldy rice, be talked down to, laughed at and find out I was lied to you about your policy. But I’m the liar right? I asked for my money back then paid for my new items(bc I’m not petty)and left the store. I cannot believe the way they treat their customers. Especially their regular customers like us. For being a small business They really need to rethink how they talk to people and handle customer service issues. I wish I could give zero stars. Read moreI love this store while also supporting my people. Everytime I go in here it reminds me of stores in Mexico and it's a feeling I absolutely love! They literally have everything here! The only reason I cannot give this place 5 stars is bc I had a horrible, absolutely HORRIBLE customer service experience I had when trying to order food from the restaurant side. I was waiting for about 10 minutes not on my food but just on ordering alone! Not a single hi, hello, be with you in a minute, NOTHING! When the lady with a tattoo on her hand finally got to me I asked for 2 elotes and agua de tamarindo when out of nowhwere this other lady asks her for a mangoneada and makes hers first after I had waited for so long. So then I tell myself I'll just skip that and just get actual food. The cook just kept looking at me and never asked me if I needed help or anything. The lady at the cashier literally throws this old ladies food just because she cut and starts getting loud and yelling. Even the people behind was yelling at the lady how unprofessional she was being and inpatient and she continues yelling while customer are leaving. When you work in retail or even costumer service the most important thing is to have patience. There is much worse situations than a old lady cutting like 2 people.
