Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Hobart Township

UPDATE: Today, I gave this DQ another chance to redeem itself since my last review months ago. Well, let's say...their employees need IMMEDIATE retraining!

I stopped at the drive thru to order two oup cups and here's the first of my conversation with a young employee.

DQ: Welcome to Dairy Queen. May I take your order?

ME: A quick question before I order. Is the walk up window open?

DQ: May I take your order?

ME: Can you.answer my question...is the Walk up window open?

DQ: Huh? I can't hear you. What did you say?

ME: Is the walk up window open?

DQ: Huh? What did you say?

ME: I'm ready to order.

DQ: Ok, what would you like to order?

PULL UP TO THE WINDOW TO PAY.

ME: Is DQ's Walk up window open where people can order?

DQ: Huh? What did you say?

ME; Nothing! What's the total?

DQ: Do you want to ask your question again?

ME: Hell no! What's my total?!

Since I was the only car at the drive thru, I drove directly to the window to ask if THAT DQ sold pup cups.Young female employee said I need to 'drive around to the speaker to make an order'. I replied I just wanted to know if THAT DQ sold pup cups and the price. She repeated I need to drive around to the drive thru speaker to ask.

I stared at her and said 'that doesn't make sense. I am the only car in line. I just want to know if this DQ sells pup cups and the price.'

She looked confused. Finally, she responded 'yes, we sell them. They're 42 cents.'

I replied, 'ok, thanks. I want to purchase a pup cup."

She replied, 'ok, what would you like to purchase?

I stared at her before responding 'duh! A pup cup.'

This is the first review I have ever left and I feel it’s necessary because of the great service I have received! On 7/5 I went to get some Ice cream in the middle of heavy rain and doing so my truck was getting soaked. The lady at the window was really nice and handed me some napkins without even asking to wipe the water from my truck. I’ve been a lot of places all over the country in my life and not once have I been given something to keep my vehicle dry in the rain. Awesome service it’s the little things that make the biggest difference...

I asked for a sundae with strawberry, whip cream, pecans ,and choc Oreo blizzard with extra Oreos. I got home with the bag and my sundae was vanilla ice cream with sprinkles. I believe I paid all the extra for nothing. Plus I threw half away because there wasn’t much flavor that way. The Oreo blizzard had only a couple Oreos much less double like it was suppose to have. That happened twice now... just chocolate ice cream literally. Again, I was doing the math , and I paid for extras that...
