Being part of The Bird and Bear has been such a meaningful experience. It’s more than just a space to sell my pottery or host pop-up shops and workshops—it’s a creative collective filled with inspiring, like-minded individuals. The sense of community here is incredible, and it’s been a joy to share my craft in such a supportive, beautifully curated environment.

Not only is The Bird and Bear a unique shop filled with one-of-a-kind items, it’s also a place where the community gets to connect with the makers behind the work. During pop-ups, people get to meet the artist, hear the story, and understand that what they’re purchasing isn’t just a mug, a necklace, or a cup—it’s something created with heart, intention, and meaning. It’s about the connection just as much as the craft.

Being part of this collective means being part of something bigger. As an artist who spends most of my time working alone in my studio, it can often feel isolating. Having a space where I can share, collaborate, and bounce ideas off others is truly priceless. The Bird and Bear nurtures not only small businesses, but also individuals who may not have a business at all—just a desire to create, connect, and be part of something larger than themselves. Not only is this a great little local shop to stop in for your next gift or treat your self moment, it is a wonderful outlet for connecting with the community. There’s a work shop space and weekly collaborative work gatherings. The Bird & Bear is a beautifully unique place that makes you feel like pulling up a cozy chair and staying a while- and they invite that!
