I was referred to Sarah of Whik’d Hair & Makeup through my wedding planner, Annie from Mango Season Weddings. Love, LOVE how my makeup turned out on my wedding day!

I had paid for a trial, my actual wedding day makeup, my bridesmaids, and two moms. My trial was about two weeks before the wedding. I’m so glad I scheduled a trial. I loved my hair and makeup during the trial: it was a boho-ish low bun and light and airy makeup which I did request and showed from my Pinterest board. She nailed it. But after I finally picked up my wedding dress after my trial and the final details were finally falling into place, I felt that my aesthetics was leaning more towards elegant than boho so I relayed that to her on my wedding day.

I was nervous to let her know my change in hair and makeup style the day of the wedding but boy did she deliver. She literally nailed my look to a tee! My bun was still low and loose but more refined. My makeup was smokey and dramatic. My lip color! Oh my lip color was the perfect shade!

I am so grateful I found Sarah for my wedding day! She did both my hair and makeup, and I also had a trial with her at her Hawaii Kai home. On the big day she came right to my Waikiki hotel room, arrived on time, and immediately made me feel relaxed and taken care of.

Sarah truly listened to my feedback and made me feel comfortable asking for little adjustments until everything was exactly how I wanted. My final look was absolutely perfect. It lasted all day and night, and I got so many compliments from guests. I honestly couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out.

Communication was smooth throughout planning (even though she’s clearly in high demand for weddings), and she made scheduling easy. On the wedding day she brought such a fun, positive energy to the getting-ready process — organized, reliable, and genuinely enjoyable to spend the morning with.

As someone who does not do her makeup very often, I was so grateful to have Sarah there to help me get ready on my wedding day!
