Note: a four star review is not a bad thing. I typically don't award five stars unless somewhere is truly outstanding or extraordinary. With that said, anything above a three star is above average.

This beach park is visited by a lot of locals on the weekends for birthday parties and family gatherings alike. Also, you'll be hard pressed to find a day when you don't run into a four-legged friend here as well.

One of the main attractions of this beach park is when it's low tide and the sandbar actually comes out. You could probably walk for about 10 to 30 minutes on the sandbar. Just make sure to check when it's actually low tide since it's not the same time every day.

I would highly recommend rinsing off after taking a dip in the water because the sand can have some silt from the extra nature preserve nearby.

As far as parking goes, it's pretty limited, but they also have parking on the street. Just be aware that some people double park and you'll have to keep an eye on that if you are in a hurry to leave. I do not recommend double...

Dog owners beware. My dog was attacked badly by a veterinarian's dog here. Usually, the dogs are friendly and the owners are responsible, but this time, we ended up in Urgent Care and my dog almost died. Be careful with your little fur babies. 💔 The first photo, the white dog, is the one that attacks. Please be careful, the rest of the pictures are what that dog did to mine. Take care of your babies. They're a part...

We took our Bernedoodle pup here to play off leash and she had a blast! Water is so shallow and calm. Lots of little shallow panda to help train dogs in the water. Came at around 3pm on a Sunday and there was parking available and where we set up chairs there was nobody near. Lots of other dogs enjoying this beach park as well!
