Kuliouou Beach — Attraction in Honolulu

Was no one was here when I went on a Thursday afternoon. The water is shallow for quite a far distance out. Walked around the sand bar and over to the nature preserve to check it out. Ground gets a little soft and sketch over there. Didn't go to far. Posted up on the sand bar to relax and read. Walked out in to the water and it never went past my knees (i'm 5'7"). Shallow for ever and ever but after the first 30’ there is smooth coral rocks for the whole bay. Not necessarily painful but noticeable to walk on. There are seven logs standing in the water and all the way out to the last is waist deep. Good beach for kids and folks not comfortable swimming. Well protected so the surf doesn’t get too bad. Nice for relaxing on a quite beach but the shallow waters make it hard to swim or snorkel here. There are amenities like a bathroom with showers and picnic tables. Probably a good place to go clamming because of all the fresh water that flows...
