Trapped for 60 — Local services in Hooksett

Excellent puzzles and gameplay. We are escape room enthusiasts and the Mystery Express presented a perfect challenge level for us.

Two things kept me from giving this place a higher rating: production value and cleanliness. As I said, we are enthusiasts and have done many escape rooms in multiple states. This place was one of the most expensive ones we have ever done. So we expected a high production value. We like to be completely immersed in the experience. We were disappointed by the lack of decor that transports a player to another time and place. We never felt like we were not in a strip mall escape room. Very drab.

The other thing was cleanliness. Very dirty. Clumps of dust and dirt all over the floors. Nothing a five minute vacuuming wouldn't solve. The restroom is in Dire need of cleaning. All in all a good time, butthis place definitely has room to grow!

My friends and I booked Mystery Express an hour and a half beforehand no problem. When we arrived, everything was ready to go, we just had to fill out waivers. The room(s) were great, interesting puzzles and fun clues. You are given a walkie talkie and are allowed unlimited clues if you get stuck. I think we asked for a couple. One of the most memorable things was that the door to the second room actually got locked from the other side. The game master paused our clock and had to come in and figure out how to get the door open so he got to play as well! It was a funny accident and didn’t at all take away from the experience. Emailed the owner prior to booking and he was extremely helpful in choosing the room that was best for our family. Visited with kids age 14, 11 and 5 and we did the Under the Big Top room. Room was a great beginner level room that had things the kids could solve but also kept Mom and Dad thinking. While there is room for improvement I would definitely recommend as an enjoyable family outting! And I love that they have daytime hours during the week (many area escape...
