I've been wanting to try The Spot for some time now, as I love coffee, cafes, and supporting small local businesses. I finally had a chance and placed an order online today for a cold brew, Pauly's Panini, and home fries. Gave an ETA of 15 minutes, arrived 25 min after placing the order, and still had to wait another 5+ minutes - which wouldn't have been an issue if I actually got what I ordered and have it taste good.
The cold brew tasted VERY watery, even with adding pumpkin spice syrup and pumpkin cold foam. Didn't even have a hint of coffee flavor. Super disappointing :(
The panini was made incorrectly and was missing several ingredients, which I'm surprised wasn't noticed when putting it together, as it only contained maybe three slices of proscuitto with cheese and just a sprinkling of arugula. It was missing tomato, balsamic, and evoo. I wouldn't really consider it much of a sandwich. The bread was really good though lol.
The home fries were honestly amazing and full of flavor and crisp. Highly recommend if you do decide to come here.
A previous reviewer mentioned disorganization at the counter, which I can attest to. It's not clear at all where to go to order/pick up, a line was non existent and it just felt awkward. I think some clear signage or staff notifying those who enter the cafe on where to go.
Overall, I don't know if I'll be back, but I hope they can finetune some of these concerns, so Hooksett can finally have a cafe in that space for more...
Read moreLots of folks behind the counter and no organization. Only one person finally asked who’s next in a random collection of folks, there was no line or order.
Espresso drinks left lots of room for improvement. A shot of espresso should not get pulled in 5 seconds or under, period. The aim is to be 30 seconds or around. Their grind is too coarse and came out like water and tasted just the same. The late I ordered tasted of flavored watered down milk with zero espresso flavor as a result.
Secondly their knock box was on the floor!? So after every shot pulled the operator had to bend down and knock out the spent puck from the portafilter on the floor….
The bagels however were delicious. An everything bagel with veg cream cheese was fresh and tasty. It was toasted to perfection and overall was excellent.
The espresso drinks sadly fall flat and I would urge whoever dialed in your grind for your 3 group machine, come back and pull shots and adjust the grind till you get close to 30...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I have made The Spot Eatery in Hooksett, NH, our weekly dining ritual since they opened last year, and it never fails to impress. The Turkey Bacon Avocado Melt and the Caprese are my personal favorites, each bursting with fresh, flavorful ingredients. The drinks are equally delightful; the Berry Berry smoothie is a refreshing treat, and their Vanilla Bean Dream Chai tea is so good it's un-bean-lievable—I daydream about it wherever I go!
The owner (who bakes some amazing treats btw) and staff are exceptionally polite and hardworking, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The ambiance is peaceful, making it a perfect spot to unwind, and everyone who visits seems to share in the relaxed vibe.
The Spot Eatery offers a diverse menu that caters to various dietary needs, including gluten and dairy-free options. For these reasons and more, this place definitely...
