City Gear — Local services in Hoover

The manager and the two associates were spending more time gossiping and looking at their phones than they were trying to assist customers. I had to initiate the conversation regarding my purchase. These three employees totally ignored me until I said something. In addition, I think it is extremely unprofessional and not a good look at all to have those extra long eyelashes. It is also unprofessional to stand around gossiping where customers can hear the conversation. Even though I don't know the person they were talking about, I still didn't care to hear the conversation. Then I asked about any points I may have and the manager said, "You don't have the app?" I told her no. After my purchases, the manager said as I was leaving, "Next time, it would be better if you had the app, so get the app". I felt as though I was bothering her when I asked her about any points I may have. I had a terrible experience. I'm not saying that I will never shop at City Gear again but, I am saying I will not shop at the Galleria store...

I was told I could not return an item that I did not want. Purchased a shirt and a hat from the mall but came back because I wanted shoes instead the lady was mean aggressive and rude the entire time. I wish it wasn’t true but it is. So I left. Went to the one in 5 point hoping to have a better outcome but the lady was rude there as well. Just don’t understand why they seemed so angry at life’. the last one said this how u have to treat the customers and told me to buy her lunch for wasting her time but I remained respectful and at the end got to return my items but they all said it’s a no refund policy so I purchased a pair of shoes,Nike socks and shorts instead . I don’t know why they felt the need to be rude because I definitely spent over $200 I came in to buy a hat and ended up spending wayyy more but the customer service was bad enough to make me never want to...

I bought a pair of shoes at the CG in Fultondale al. that were defected. I was told that I could not return even though I had my receipt. The associate gave me a gift card and sent me to the Galleria Mall(30miles). Once i got there, the store manager had the worst attitude ever and i was told that they did not except gift cards and I was sent back to the original location. I made an exchange but the shoe was still defected. I went back to the Galleria Mall to exchange the shoe, and the store manager was extremely rude, and was not accommodating to the issue regarding my shoe. She threw my receipt on the counter and asked me to leave the store with the defected shoe. I asked for a corporate number and I was told that I was being petty!!!!! I will never shop at these 2...
