I was going to wait to write a review until I had run the Everbook through it's paces. But it's become such a quick companion that there's no need.
I discovered the Everbook through Pastor Wolfmueller's videos and was surprised to find something that meshed so well with a method for note taking that I was already using. Being left-handed, I find writing in bound and spiral notebooks awkward and have been using copier paper folded in half for some time.
The concept of bundles and folders is brilliant and I jumped right in with my own spin on them. Is it ok to geek-out over folders?
One surprise bonus: 90% of the time I'm taking notes while reading and am usually not at a desk. So, I'll grab a DVD case, a hard book or some sturdy surface to write on. For fun, I put a folded piece of paper on the Everbook and found it to be a wonderful surface to write on! It's just the right stiffness and the slight give to the leather creates a "buttery?" feel while writing.
Extremely happy with the quality too. I love the "Rugged" option for the leather - nice to have a little connection to the animal that provided his hide for me. I'm not an expert on leather, but the thickness and the feel for this type of product is perfect for me.
The offer to replace the elastic band if it ever wears out is great. The packaging was excellent - full of helpful notes.
The size and shape of the Everbook when closed and everything is strapped in just feels good. I use an iPad to read my books and this makes a great, portable companion.
If you are considering this method of note taking, or if you already have adapted to something like it, I wouldn't hesitate at all to get one of these. It's also a great chance to support a small, domestic outfit. You definitely get the impression these folks love what they...
Read moreI happened across Murdy Creative almost by accident but I am so glad that I did. I ordered a Classic Cut Leather Journal in Americano.
I was especially impressed that they offered customization so I went all out adding my signature on the front and logo on the back to make the journal even more personal.
I received numerous emails and text messages throughout the process which kept me informed on progress and when I should expect delivery. Despite the extra work required for adding logos, my journal arrived very quickly.
I have to admit, I was in awe to the quality and look of this journal. The attention to detail is amazing and I can already see that this journal will outlive me. This is a generational item that I will gladly pass down after I am finished with it.
It is the perfect size to take with me on photo shoots to capture details on locations, camera settings, etc. The materials used are top notch and will only get more character through the years.
I am already trying to justify getting a Mini Cut for a smaller pocket notebook in the field.
I can strongly recommend the leather journals from Murdy Creative. They are built to last and have a timeless quality that one expects from quality leather products. This journal has become indispensable and something I get complements on each...
Read moreI was first introduced to Murdy Creative Company back in 2018 or 2019, and friend of mine bought me this leather three ring binder that I believe was the first one they designed. Since then, I became obsessed with the company. I have 5, 3 ring binders (why I need them all I don’t know, but I love them all).
My favorite journal I ever got from them, has to be the mini cut journal with the pen attachment. I use mine all day every day. It is one of my most important EDC items. Sadly, I recently lost the first one I bought, and I just received the new one to replace it and it is absolutely perfect.
I also have bought the new smaller version. It’s like a leather cover. I really love it because of how small it is. But the mini journal still has my heart.
All this to say, I cannot recommend a company more. I have purchased these journals for myself and for gifts and they have been...
