Rock River Tap — Restaurant in Horicon

We went there for a late lunch. There were only a few people in the place, pretty standard menu of salads, burgers and wraps. We each had something different. I ordered a chicken wrap that was supposed to have Monterey Jack cheese and blue cheese dressing in it. There were maybe six little cubes of chicken in this entire 12in wrap, I didn't see cheese but there may have been some in there. I pulled out an entire dinner plate worth of lettuce and still had a ton of lettuce in the wrap. Our waitress never did come to bring us our food, even though the cook ring the bell that food was ready. We never got ice water, and all of us had already finished our soda and wanted refills. So, one of us just finally went up to the window and asked if we could take our food. The cook helped us carry our food to the table, and mentioned that this happens more often than not.... Nice place to sit and look at the river, and outdoor seating is available, but service was not good, the food wasn't great and I think we'll find somewhere...

Before I say anything if like to say that the food was incredible. It was delicious! We ordered out for take out on Friday night. When I called the staff had put me on hold to see how long it would take. She told me it would be done at 615. That was just over an hour. But that was fine! I knew it would be a little bit as it was Friday and we had a pretty large order. So we get there at 615. No one even looked our way until 630. We sat there until 650 before we got our food. Almost a 2 whole hours from when we called. Where they busy? Absolutely! But I just don't see how it could take that long. The waitress was kind of snotty with us while we were waiting at the bar too. I can only assume its because we weren't drinking because she helped the man that literally took the chair I was sitting on from under me when he wanted to order a drink. Decided to try this place out based on recommendations from people who said this was the place to go for fish. I saw they claimed to have stone fire pizzas with a homemade crust and fresh local ingredients. First of all, I am a huge fan of stone fired pizzas in a stone fire oven. This is not what they had there. I noticed in the kitchen there were very large metal pizza ovens, not a stone fire oven. Big difference. The pizza came out and we couldn't even cut through it. It was the most greasy tough pizza I have ever had. This was the first time I asked for the check without even finishing a single piece nor could my husband choke it down. I told the bartender that the pizza was just not good and we would like the check. He apologized and didn't even offer a substitute meal or anything to take it's place. We left and will...
