I had one of the worst shopping experiences at Bismillah Grocery Store, and I feel it’s important to share so others can be cautious before spending their hard-earned money here.
First of all, the customer service is absolutely pathetic. There’s an older man at the counter who is extremely arrogant, rude, and dismissive. Instead of listening to customers and addressing their concerns, he immediately becomes argumentative and defensive. When I raised an issue, he started arguing without even bothering to understand the situation – which is the exact opposite of how any business should treat its customers.
The products themselves are highly questionable. I bought a bag of flour from the store, only to discover that it was infested with bugs. This was not just disappointing but also disgusting and completely unacceptable for a grocery store. When I tried to return or exchange it, rather than acknowledging the problem, the old man accused and argued with us as if it was our fault.
What makes matters worse is that they also seem to sell expired items. I noticed several products on the shelves that were past their expiration dates – something extremely concerning for a food store. On top of that, their prices are unreasonably high, and almost everything is marked up far beyond what you’d pay elsewhere.
Overall, Bismillah Grocery Store is a place I would never recommend to anyone. Between the terrible service, unsafe/expired products, and overpriced items, it’s just not worth the hassle or risk. There are many other stores around that value their customers and sell quality, fresh products at fair prices – I suggest you shop there instead.

Read moreI was at the store today around 3PM. I’ve been going there for a long, long time and this is the 3rd. Owner. They have expanded to the next door which was a Pool Supply place. All the Staff in the back knows me very well. But unfortunately, today I had a very bad experience, which I never faced before. The Butcher tagged my item with a wrong Price. Didn’t realize that till we came home(Pearland). Around 6PM, we realized the mistake. Called and talked with the gentleman who answered the phone(most probably the same bearded man). We were overcharged almost $20-$25. I tried to work with the gentleman whichever way he was trying to explain the situation to me. But evidently I got the vibe that he was not willing to admit the mistake and just give me Credit on my wife’s Mastercard. He would not work with me, rather kept giving me the runaround. That was not nice. This is what we got for driving there almost 13-14 miles each way, just to shop there, passing atleast 3-4 stores of that kind. We felt very rejected. There was no need for that. Absolutely NOT. We’ve got a “bad taste” in our mouth regarding this unfortunate experience. Are we going to go there anymore, maybe YES or maybe NO. We’re not worried about the $20 mistake. It’s the Principle of Customer Service and Loyalty which is lacking everywhere nowadays, and this is our first experience at an ethnic store, where we have been going for atleast 10/15 yrs. Just a pair of dissatisfied, disappointed and disheartened...
Read moreRude old man at the front of the store. My stepfather asked him a question about pricing and without even looking up, he responded by saying he was "busy". Secondly, the man checking us out, cashed the customer who was in line behind us because the man said he only had one item. I guess my money wasn't green enough and the time spent in line wasn't respected. While outside of the store, I was loading my my purchases in the vehicle and strapping my daughter in her car seat. A young woman who was standing at the door of the store, kept watching me. Literally came around to where I was, looked at me and then checked the car beside me. The car beside me was running idle with no one in it. Not sure if she assumed I was going to commit a crime. I guess they assume that all people who look like me are criminals. I made sure contact with her to let her know that I knew what she was doing. Store had great products, but there aren't any prices on most of the items, and the customer service is horrible. ...
