Went there yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised by the fried chicken! My husband had to point out to me that i could not stop talking about it even when we got home and it was a 1.5 hr drive to Walker county! We moved from SoCal and there was one similar establishment there which sold halal 'KFC-like' fried chicken in Anaheim but this one definitely takes the cake with spices and batter and it's texture hauntingly close to KFC. I was looking forward to try their mashed potatoes but it wasn't available ( i am DYIIING to know if theirs taste like the KFC gravy back home or not so i will for sure insya Allah come back for this😋😋😋) so i had the jalapeno poppers on the side instead. It's been 5 years since I've had chicken this good and my family was in the catering business back home so we loooove good food!! The oil used to fry the chicken wasn't re-used or old oil either! They had different sauces to try from and the mango habanero was the one which was ok for me to dip the chicken in (The owner generously gave me all the sauces they had to try subhanallah ..may he be rewarded for his generosity to us, as, he even gave us an extra bun because his staff had forgotten about it ). I do wish they had chilli sauces like the ones in KFC in Singapore or Malaysia but i know recipes can be a challenge to re-create if you have never tried them. Meanwhile, my husband had the Philly cheesesteak and the hoagie was sliced all the way through which made it a messy for him to eat it. I would give it 5 stars if they had goood chilli sauce for the chicken, ice for the drinks (drinks come in a can from the chiller) or some hot drinks like tea or coffee and maybe even MILO for the cold winters(Understandably, i am certain they have a reason for not having so and or maybe other visions for their establishment). They had discontinued the shaved ice which was another thing we drove from Walker for too 💔💔💔😫 In all, Halal fried chicken lived up to it's name and if you're coming for the chicken you won't be disappointed! I am looking forward to them opening a branch closer to Walker so we don't have to travel all the way for this. Definitely recommending this place to all in my network. Thank you for your service to the community. My pictures and videos may not do it justice on this platform so i will not post them all here, you guys just HAVE to go and try it out for yourselves. Edited to five all 5 stars as of Feb 15th 2025

So I'm not sure what happened with my Google Map search. I typed in Halal and meant to finish typing Guys and it took me to Halal Fried Chicken instead. Boy was I surprised by what came up in the pictures. I can't resist fried chicken and said sure why not. I stopped by here today after taking a 2 hour test down the road. I arrived before noon and was welcomed by the two guys behind the counter. The only thing I knew I wanted was fried chicken. Being that it was just mez the smallest size they had was the 6 piece. I figured I can take the rest home. Let's not forget I added fries. The guy informed me it would take anywhere from 15 - 20 minutes. I'm already liking this, hot and crispy chicken 🍗. 15 minutes later, he rings the bell at the front and says your order is ready. I walked back to my seat with 6 pieces of fried chicken and a side of salted crispy French fries. The smell of the chicken was so aromatic. The taste is what did it for me. There were so many different types of seasoning packed into that chicken with such a nice kick. It wasn't just the outside batter, but the chicken itself was tender, juicy and succulent. The meat came off the bone easily. The chicken gave off plenty of steam, I felt like I was in a sauna. The fries were nicely fried and salted. I was not able to finish this entire meal, but I can't wait to devour the rest later. It was such a filling and delicious meal I am struggling to stay awake. What a fantastic place. The guy behind the counter was super nice. The one that made the chicken is so amazing. I hope he knows it. Bookmarking this as my go to place for fried chicken. Bawk bawk.

The combination rice and chicken rice was not as it use to-be—wonderfully prepared and tasteful. Instead of the nicely slice chicken and lamb slices and lettuce, this time it was chunks of fried chicken- tender pieces, chunks of lettuce, and lamb not properly slice all over the place, and white sauce and spicy sauce carelessly poured.on rice. The rice was not the regular yellow tasteful rice but just white rice with all kinds of spices on it. The crispy chicken burger was done sloppy with chicken not properly cook and excessive mayo and ketchup. The fries were cold and had not tasty. I hope the owner is aware that the older gentleman that work on Sundays did not understand what was being ordered…and he was also the same person that prepared this underrated food. This is my worst experience with this store. Unless there is a change back to the same old well prepared menu I will not be returning or will recommend this place. I would appreciate the owner to reach out to me for additional comments

Love this place! I have been coming here during the soft opening and since then I never had any issues with the food or service. Everything has been amazing. Few months back I ordered chicken for a house party and everyone loved it. Recently I tried their Nashville hot chicken sandwich and it was delicious. Also I bought three orders of chicken wings the other day, mango habanero, garlic parmesan and BBQ. They all were delicious, but got soggy due to long car ride. Keep up the good work guys! Edit: Jan 2022 Decided to try their chicken shawarma and fish sandwich. Chicken shawarma was delicious, very fulfilling and unique. Loved the flavors and spices. Got a complimentary fish sandwich. It was very good. Nice crispy and delicious. Loved the sauce on it which was different from other places.

The fried chicken was pretty good. A tad greasy, but had good flavor and very crispy! Loaded fries had waaaaaay too much mayo on them. Even for someone who is okay with mayo, it was waaaay too much. They already put their sauce on it (which definitely has mayo in it) and that's fine, but why drench it in regular mayo too? If they just left off the regular mayo entirely and just used their sauce it would have been perfect. No idea why they think drenching it in mayo is appealing even for people that like mayo. If they fixed that they'd be a 4 or 5 star for sure. So if you don't like mayo either don't get the loaded fries or ask for no mayo (which I don't feel you should have to do).

Halal fried chicken, Pearland, TX. I happened to visit pearland last weekend and this happens around every month or so. There are limited halal options there but this time I accidentally discovered (Googled!) Halal Fried chicken there. Owner, Nauman bhai was very nice, clean and friendly environment and freshly made zinger burger. He insisted me to try their custom deserts and I said I am not a desert person but he offered me a free sampler. I will say it was truely refreshing to have flavors and not like muted commercial brand ice creams. They even had gola ganda that I did not try but was tempted 😀. I will definitely go back there during my once in a while visits there.
