This was the 2nd time ever trying India food (I believe this place is Indian/Pakistani) and it was delicious experience.
We ordered 2 types of Naan, Aloo Cholay (Vegetarian dish), and Karahi Chicken. The chicken had too much bone in my (and it seems like many others’) opinion but it was still good. Nothing came with base rice which was surprising BUT looking at the menu it is very clear which ones come with rice.
While we were waiting the person running the front offered us good to try for free. My partner loved it but I’m picky so I passed. I only bring it up to highlight hospitality was awesome.
COVID-19 wise they all had masks on correctly which was a big plus for me. Also, the drive home was about 20 mins and food was still hot so for those that also do take out know they buy solid packaging.
We will be returning for more food ~ even marking off what we ate on the menu so we can try something new. Except Garlic Naan, because that is always a must.
Rating note - Unless we’re traveling, I try to limit 5/5 to trying a place multiple times. So the ratings may...
Read moreOld review: I have had this as one of my favorite places for past several years. The owners are always there. Nice and clean traditional Punjabi flavor. Must go place if you are in Webster tx.
Recent review(several years later): this place has lost its taste. I ordered chiken tikka and it almost tasted boiled not grilled. Even when i asked for it to be well-done. The appearance of the tikka was pink and as if it was pulled out of gravy. It used to be that if you got hold of the owner, Mr Azam, food will be done right. But this time even that trick didnt work. The creepiest thing was, that the cooked tikka and uncooked tikka in the glass cooler looked exavtly identical. We also orded cholay bhutoray. The bhuttoras tasted more like soda than flour and chana were so over cooked that they almost blended in the gravy. And you better not need to use the resgroom and if you do you better know how to hold your breath. Dull gloomy small smelly restroom didnt get a facelift when the rest of the restaurant was being rebuilt. Now you cannot say that you...
Read moreI love Indian food but this is my first time trying this restaurant. I went today for lunch the lady was very helpful explaining what different things were that I was not familiar with as their display case was so colorful with numerous different little items and treats. I ordered bhindi Masala and chicken tikka with one potato/veggie samosa. Everything was good but the Samosa was out of this world! It had so much flavor that I will definitely get that again in the future. The chicken tikka was also very good the onions and greens that came with it we're very fresh and everything tasted wonderful. Bhindi Masala and Aloo bhindi Masala are two of my favorite dishes. The Bhindi Masala here was okay but it was lacking much flavor and it seemed wetter than what I'm used to. I think I will try asking for it with more spices if that is something you can do here, in the future. I will definitely be back to try some...
