We absolutely recommend this jeweler! From the moment we set foot inside, we were helped right away with my engagement ring setting.

The setting and stone had been soft set from another big name jewelry brand, however we hadn’t picked out a diamond yet, so when the stone popped out eventually and was lost, we decided to check out local jewelers after we were quoted an insane price for a diamond from said big name jeweler.

Stepping in we were helped by Danielle, who informed us that they carried all kinds of stones, lab diamonds, natural diamonds and even moissanites (my dream engagement ring gemstone). Both Danielle and Destinee were SO knowledgeable about moissanites and I felt I could really look at the ring styles and think about the gemstone I had in mind, without feeling like I was being coerced into purchasing a natural diamond (like the other jeweler). My husband and I had seen a style we liked online on their website and got to see it in person, so when Danielle mentioned they could make it in rose gold like my original, we went ahead and placed our order. Since my original wedding band would no longer fit flush with the ring setting we picked, Danielle let us know they could custom make one to fit perfectly with the new engagement ring!

We were able to work with them within our budget and even got a custom wedding band as well as a cz set in my original engagement ring to be used as a travel ring! Now I didn’t know what specs the moissanite would be, and forgot to ask, but I felt I could trust the jeweler to pick a beautiful one that would be a good fit for the warm tone of rose gold, as I was sure that they carried top notch stones!

We were not in a rush and expressed that to them so they could take their time, but I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call a month and a few weeks later that both the set and the appraisal was ready!! I was completely blown away by how beautiful it came out! (We had received CAD renderings to approve a month prior) my husband and I are ecstatic by how beautifully executed this wedding set is!! The moissanite selected absolutely sparkles!! It’s everything I wanted and more! It came with its own little box, a registration card for my moissanite, and a beautiful little box with a QR code where we could see how our ring was made! TLDR: When no jeweler in Houston would fix a family heirloom necklace pendant, Gary at Pineforest could! HIGHLY recommended! My seagull necklace pendant was given to me by my father 11 years ago, and I wear it every day on a long gold chain. When I lived in Connecticut, only one jeweler dared to fix it (out of the whole state). It is made entirely of pewter, which is a soft metal, so it easily bends and breaks. The bird has been fixed several times, and you can see in the before picture how badly it was repaired. The solder job was done so poorly. After moving to Houston, the bad wing fell completely off again. I called almost every jeweler in the greater Houston area, and no one was willing to fix it because it's pewter and it has been repaired so many times before. This went on for days, and I kept reaching out further and further (I live near Seabrook). When I came across Pineforest and gave them a call, they were the only place that gave me a "yes, we fix pewter" and asked if I would bring it in to confirm that it was fixable. Although Gary gave no promises that the fix would work, I trusted in his 30+ years of experience and let him work his magic. I was expecting to leave it for a week like my previous jeweler in CT, but nope - he fixed it right there on the spot. About 15 minutes later, he brought my bird out. I cannot believe the quality of the repair! It's looking better than it did when I first got it 11 years ago. You can't even see the previous clunky solder repairs from the past. And the repair is strong! No bending in the wing anymore. He also repaired my gold rope chain that was hanging on by a thread, literally. All of this work for about $45 and 15 minutes. Unreal! All of the staff at Pineforest is so kind and knowledgeable. I'm so appreciative and lucky to have found this jeweler. They even came up with several ideas for the future to keep this bird from breaking again. We went to Pineforest because we had a concern about work we had done to our engagement ring. We wanted someone to verify what was done, as we felt we had been cheated. We found Pineforest via google search of good reviews. We were very concerned that our diamond may have been switched after repairs were done due to a number of circumstances with the repairs.

We called Pineforest with our concern and they immediately welcomed us to come to the store and would have a look at our situation.

The customer service was absolutely fantastic, and the knowledge of the main Gemologist (Diamond Jim) was amazing. He took the time to listen to our situation and concerns and at no cost spent literally 2 hours with us going over every detail of our ring and helped to resolve all our issues by answering the many questions we had. I have never seen a store take this kind of time and effort with a customer. Everyone in the store was very honest and up front. They were clear that they wanted to earn our trust and have us as future customers, and that is why they give such great service.

The service and level of Diamond expertise here is probably the best you can get anywhere. These people know what they are doing and are truly EXPERTS.

The location seems a bit dicey, but that is because they have been there for 30 years and back in the day is was a high end area. And as we all know, the city landscape can change over many years. They are looking to move locations soon to grow their store. Don't let the current location scare you off. This place is fantastic and I would recommend to anyone to go there !!
