V Salon Spa — Local services in Houston

I chose to go to Vicky for a haircut and wash a little over a month ago based on her salon's Google reviews / ratings and was not disappointed. My hair at that time had gotten fairly thick and long - despite how outwardly healthy it looked, the hair close to my neck had become dry, brittle, and damaged, as if I had split ends there. Brushing out that hair soon became a painful experience with every stroke catching a knot and yanking at my tender neck.

As a result, I decided it was time for a haircut. Vicky was very gentle and efficient, and best of all, her prices were more reasonable than a different Chinatown hair salon I had gone to in 2021. I personally liked that Vicky asked if I wanted a wash (some salons don't give you that choice, they just do it anyway and then hit you with the charge at the end), and I let her dictate the hairstyle / haircut since I didn't have a specific idea in mind; even so, I ended up very pleased with the results. My only regret is that I wish I had asked her to thin out the bottom of my hair a little more, as it's now July in Houston and my hair tends to grow thick. Words cannot express the pain and the embarrassment I feel. I went in with the excitement of dying my hair. I based my visit to this hair salon from the “reviews” they have, but if I’d know the damage not only to my hair but emotionally I would have NEVER came here for anything. I should of know something was wrong by the faces of the other hairdresser when I came out from washing my hair after it was bleached excessively. Some looked shocked and other seem like it was funny to them. As a profesional you should know how much bleach hair can handle. That’s why people trust and PAY you for. I recently had the pleasure of visiting V Salon and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Vicki did an amazing job highlighting my hair and my mom's long hair. we both have thick dark brown hair with red pigmentation so its not an easy job to bring out the great blonde color from it and needs someone like Vicki with her skills and experience to make someone like me happy. The results were stunning and exactly what we wanted!

Vicki is always so nice and accommodating with appointment times, making it easy for me to fit into my busy schedule. Her hard work and dedication to her craft are evident in the beautiful results she delivers every time.
