Duy Sandwiches: A Vegan Paradise
Duy Sandwiches is a must-visit for any vegan or anyone who enjoys delicious, fresh, and affordable food. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with friendly smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The service was lightning-fast, and the food was absolutely incredible.
I cannot recommend the banh mi sandwiches enough, especially the combo one. The bread was perfectly crispy, and the fillings were flavorful and bursting with fresh herbs and vegetables. The pandan tofu drink was a delightful surprise, with a unique flavor and a creamy texture. And the fresh sugarcane juice was the perfect way to cool down on a hot day.
In addition to the amazing food, the prices are extremely economical. You can easily get a delicious and filling meal for under $10. The restaurant itself is also very nice, with a modern and inviting design.
Here are some of the other dishes I recommend:

Read moreFor an exact $3.50, expect to get one of the most delicious vietnamese sandwiches (banh mi) in all of Chinatown, and that's not including the fact that the entire establishment serves vegetarian (if not full vegan) cuisine. All sandwiches are made fresh in front of your eyes and the store's noodle dishes are not to be ignored either. There are vegetarian recreation of pretty much every classic vietnamese noodle dish on the menu and each one is $8-$9 in price.
Duy sandwiches is more of a cafe, reminiscent of the ones in Vietnam where customers can just order food and sit down for a quick bite. The atmosphere is relaxed and customers can also enjoy dessert or take items to go. Along with San San Tofu, it is one of the places I go to when I crave hearty, healthy food that isn't just a salad. Anywhere else, the cuisine they serve could command a price of at least 50% higher, but I am glad they don't. If I had to be nitpicky, the cafe is cash only and lacks a public bathroom and I could only wish that it was open an hour or so later, so I can go there after the gym. However, as the saying goes, good things...
Read moreI drove 30 minutes just to try this place out and this will now be a regular restaurant for me! Everything was amazing! We split the combination Bahn mi and the tofu Bahn mi. I highly recommend the combination even though I eat tofu all of the time and usually enjoy that the most. The bread didn't cut the roof or my mouth, the veggies were fresh, and the jalapenos were spicy (just how I like them). We ended up ordering food to go and even put some frozen food in a cooler. The frozen and refrigerated sections have all kinds of vegan meat items and fresh soups. The prices are so cheap. I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee and a Bahn mi and with tip it was like $10! The staff was so nice and answered all our questions. They even brought our food to the table even though I think this is more of a pick up at the counter place. I cannot recommend this...
