Update oct 15th 2024 called asked for Amy for 1 fill , she offered 2, I said no id have another tech do my gf,because we did not want to wait allday & i always go to amy . She said 5pm. I walked in at 4:59 pm now they claim the lady on the phone didnt know amy had 2 appointments today and they closing after huh. So neither one of us could get our nails done. They were non apologetic,and offered no solution its my only day off. I am so tired and drove here 20 mins for nothing. This happens frequently no matter how much i repeat myself on the phone. My gf is particular about her nails they dont listen when youre in the seat and get mad when you dont like them . Amy was nice but to not inform the booking person you have appointents is wild. So just double booking clients. I found another shop the same day. NAILS OF AMERICA ONLY 10 MINS AWAY TOOK US AS LAST APPOINTMENT MY NAILS ARE SO CUTE BETTER THEN I EVER GOT AT VINAS. THEY DIDNT SUGGEST IRRELEVANT STUFF. and after reading their reposonses to revoews they make up if they make a mistKe. Its like a breathe of fresh air.if you value your money and time STAY AWAY
Update: I was contacted later that night, with a proper resolution to the issue. Not sure if it was due to the review, either way I hate switching nail shops so glad we could work it out.
Amy is great but communication issues do happen. Its how you rectify them that makes the buisness. My wife and I go here every two weeks. This time she did not like her nails. She told the lady but didnt want to make a big deal so just asked for lines to be added to make it look better after she was done she told my wife her nails were more than usual due to the ombre tip. Even though she asked for green tips not ombre tips it does not even look ombre. So she had to pay 15 more for ombre instead of green tips. I wamted them redone but had been there 2 hours and had a gyno appointment. We go here all the time so thought they would understand. Nope she didnt want to refund 20.00 or give me 20 off next visit. We explained we work and had plans to go out of town so coming back was going to be a headache. Finally she agreed to 10% off next visit. Which I would have to spend 200.00 atleast to even get the 20.00 back i was tricked out of. Its a shame.... customer service is great till they make a mistake. I always tip big so will just hold that back , until i find a new shop. Ugh smh nothing...
Read moreFound this place on goggle and decided to give them a try based on all her reviews and pictures. If it wasn’t for Vina I would have given this nail salon 1 star. I honestly want to give 2 starts but then feel bad cause it’s not vinas fault. But because of my experience and my daughters experience we will not be going back.
My daughter needed a fill, the guy who takes the calls did them for her, my daughter complained to me how he burnt her with the drill and nicked her skin several times leaving her with cuts on her fingers. She then went to vina for her design and she did absolutely amazing.
The guy then started to do a full set for me. We chose a color, the length and all was good until I noticed the color powder was patchy, I asked if it was going to smooth out, he said oh this is marble. Went to get the regular color powder, drilled each nail over again and applied a thin layer of the new color on top of the incorrect color, he then proceeded to smooth out my nails and realized that because he applied a thin layer of the correct color he was starting to see the color on the bottom.. so then he drilled them down again, applied more of the correct color. He then started to buff and smooth out my nails and messed up two that were still wet and had to re do those. Im assuming he didn’t want mess up the others because he didn’t smooth and file down three of my nails. He started to paint the design I asked for but thankfully vina was done and came by becuse he was doing those wrong too. Vina asked to see my photo and told him she would finish my nail art which came out great. My fingers hurt after everything, I have cuts all along the bed of my fingers, the side of my fingers are raw because of how deep he was filling, they sting after washing my hands and they hurt to touch.. a nail salon is supposed to be relaxing and pampering. It was not at all and took way longer than it...
Read moreHer work is excellent, but her time management is HORRIBLE. 3 times I have been there and with each visit I was not seen at my appointment time. I travel 1.5 hours to this location, and just as her time is valuable as a business owner, my time is value as a PAYING customer. Her policy: if late she will charge you a late fee, if she is late. What is it that you offer the customer? An apology? The best apology is changed behavior. The first time, "ok no problem..." that was my response the each time after that. This last time she was so behind that she did a super basic job on my nails, to be ready for her next client, that has been a customer longer than me. What makes her time more value than my time? I asked her to give me something creative, something no one else has, my hands are your canvas, my only request was an ANKH and EYE OF RA....she does just those two and begins to place the gel coating on my nails. Wait a minute Vina, I asked for your artistry to come out, let me be proud to spend over $50 dollars and 4 hours of my time (of which I could be working and making money) to be here. It truly sucks, because he work and quality is great, but she doesn't value your time as a client and doesn't offer a discount or even a drink while you wait, NOTHING...no compensation. I know the loss of one client doesn't mean much to her, which is even more upsetting, but I will no longer drive 1.5 hours to be ON TIME every time, just to wait 45 mins for her to start me, then rush me for the next person. I am truly dissatisfied and disappointed in her business ethics.
