Reeds & Rushes — Local services in Howard Lake

Reeds and Rushes will forever hold a special spot in my heart! When we visited for an Open House in January 2024 we knew it was the perfect venue to get married at. We were able to tour and meet vendors who would be a (big) part in our wedding day!

Kayla, Curtis, and Brandie were absolutely amazing to work with. From first communications to day of, they were wonderful. We were able to get in the day before and decorate which was a huge help. Brandie and Curtis were so great from helping with my decorations, setting up tables and chairs, and everything in between. Our day went so smoothly because of them!

The venue itself is amazing. Perfect size for a small/medium sized wedding. We had about 100 guests and it didn’t feel too big.

The grooms suite was a huge hit. Everyone loved the simulator of course. My brother will forever talk about how he got a hole in one in golf. 😂 The bridal suite was perfect. Lots of lighting and ample amount of space.

The lake setting was beautiful. The reception area was beautiful. It was all perfect.

R&R was PERFECT for our wedding! Our coordinator, Kayla, was above and beyond what we could’ve hoped for. She was so willing to help, encouraging, and offered great advice. She also jumped in to help our families decorate.

The venue itself is so beautiful! We knew we wanted to get married on a lake, and this was such a perfect fit (and for a great price!). The getting ready suites were large enough for our parties (8 bridesmaids and 8 groomsmen). The guys had a ton of fun with the sports simulator while waiting for photos/during down time. Another huge bonus is that R&R allowed us to bring our own food and drinks before the ceremony - this is so helpful and not many venues have this freedom.

Again, the R&R staff was so friendly, responsive, and kind. I’d recommend this venue to everyone - our day was so perfect, but we couldn’t have done it...

Reeds & Rushes is an amazing venue! When we first toured the place, it was still under construction, but we trusted Curtis and Maddy's vision. They truly impressed us with the final result. With the wood details and black and white accents, the venue provides the perfect backdrop for your special day. We were thrilled with the addition of the dock and the pergolas in the back patio. Our outdoor ceremony by the lake was beautiful. The Bridal & Groom suites were terrific, I loved that the Groom suite had a golf simulator – it kept the guys entertained while they waited! The Bridal suite was also gorgeous and spacious enough for 8+ girls. Curtis and Maddy were excellent to work with, very responsive, and always helpful whenever we had any questions.
