Dollar General — Local services in Howell Township

I just left this location after getting yelled at and embarrassed by SHAUN the big man cashier. There was two people ahead of me the First Lady was rung up she moved to the left the next lady is putting her things on the counter the First Lady gave the receipt back and told the cashier that she was over charged for an item. After the Second Lady was rung up the cashier is now looking at the reciept. I move up to the register was not greeted. The cashier proceeds to pull his phone out and start calculating items off the First Ladies receipt. I asked him if he can ring up my items since I waited on line like everyone else. He said I was being rude I said no I’m not you’re being rude since it’s my turn and you have other people waiting holding up the line as you calculate the items. I said while you’re calculating make sure to give me the corporate number. He said oh I don’t have it and there’s no manager on duty either. I told him not to worry because I will not be treated like this. Corporate was all within in 10 minutes of this incident and they stated the district manger will be...

I was in Dollar store in farmingdale nj ... I just want to say this little girl Lizzy Runs this store usually all by herself ! Ive never seen another soul in there working ! This kid is emptying boxes filling shelves keeping the place neat and scrubbing . Ive seen her in the past month cleaning the stench out of the refrigerator from when the thing broken no one helping her !!!! Running back n fourth from isles to register ... if i worked at this place id stay at register and not do anything else im sure she doesnt get paid well for doing all that ive seen her do ....Anyway my review is for this young girl named Lizzy shes always very helpful kind always smiling that bright smile shes very cheerful ... i asked if she was manager because i wanted to report to the boss how great she always is when i often shop there ! If you ask me this kid deserves to be manager !!!Anyway love this store!!!! Shelves are neat and clean and stocked ! Thanks Lizzy for all...

What is up with this place? I waited for at least ten minutes at the register with young children, and when someone finally showed up, there was no apology for the wait. She berated me for not using the self-checkout, although both of those machines were down. The cashier continued to, I don't know how to put this even, STARE me down with disdain, while ringing up my items. I asked to speak to the manager (in a nice tone), and she said she was the manager. I never expect royal treatment, just basic respect. When I tried to explain that her mannerisms were impolite, she told me, in exact words, "Get the 'f' out and shop somewhere else"... In front of my sons. I can't believe this happened. Nowhere, ever, have I been spoken to this way. I hope corporate sees this, and gives her job to someone else, perhaps a hardworking stocker or other cashier in the store. This woman has no business in...
