We will be going back and loved the experience, but if you are going, you should know beforehand: It can be tough getting around with couches or a stroller. You can still get around. It's just gravel. Just made us slower, but I can see where it might be an issue for someone else. There isn't much shaded seating and no shaded seating in the play area, easily fixed if you bring a picnic blanket or folding chair but important to know.
Why we'll be going back: The staff are all friendly. The animals have space to move and have personalities, but the donkey might be a little too friendly if he realizes you have food. Their are a lot of activities for a young kid, I'd say walking age would be preferable but our 7 month old enjoyed the animals just not the slide but the older kids had a lot of fun.    Read moreLarderRoom...I was heading to New Carlisle with the family when we passed the Evans Family Ranch. It seemed like a fun place with lots going on so we doubled back. There is a great "food stand" on-site selling burgers (offering Evans beef of course), and ice cream. Win win. There is a great produce stand, pumpkins for sale and a great option to purchase local beef from the farm. The general store was nice with a variety of veggies and sweets. The meat looked really good but was pricey. I will try it at some point. We were going to get something at the concession stand but had to wait too long, so we gave up. I imagine they are still growing and trying to figure it out.
