Evans Family Ranch — Local services in Huber Heights

We will be going back and loved the experience, but if you are going, you should know beforehand: It can be tough getting around with couches or a stroller. You can still get around. It's just gravel. Just made us slower, but I can see where it might be an issue for someone else. There isn't much shaded seating and no shaded seating in the play area, easily fixed if you bring a picnic blanket or folding chair but important to know.

Why we'll be going back: The staff are all friendly. The animals have space to move and have personalities, but the donkey might be a little too friendly if he realizes you have food. Their are a lot of activities for a young kid, I'd say walking age would be preferable but our 7 month old enjoyed the animals just not the slide but the older kids had a lot of fun. The food is good and considering the type of place it is reasonably priced. LarderRoom...I was heading to New Carlisle with the family when we passed the Evans Family Ranch. It seemed like a fun place with lots going on so we doubled back. There is a great "food stand" on-site selling burgers (offering Evans beef of course), and ice cream. Win win. There is a great produce stand, pumpkins for sale and a great option to purchase local beef from the farm. Really nice to have this in the area. The flowers were really nice, with some unusual ones. They were very healthy looking and priced reasonably. The general store was nice with a variety of veggies and sweets. The meat looked really good but was pricey. I will try it at some point. We were going to get something at the concession stand but had to wait too long, so we gave up. I imagine they are still growing and trying to figure it out.
