Penny Lane Art Gallery and Cafe — Restaurant in New Carlisle

As a regular customer for the past 15 months, I feel as if it’s finally time to talk about Penny Lane. From the minute you walk in the door of the gallery, you are greeted with incredible pieces of art from "Penny Lane Publishing" that are sure to fit in with your current home decor. Or even better, maybe you're looking to redo your living room? Why not venture in and get inspiration for your renovation from a "David Bromstad" original. In addition to the artwork, you will find that they also have other options for that perfect birthday gift, items like "Love of Basketball" apparel and "Swan Creek Candle Co." items as well.

This leads me to the food and drink menu…. Penny Lane has introduced an entirely reworked menu. From breakfast sandwiches and "Ozro and Rays" fresh bagels to lunchtime paninis and the "soup(s) of the day," there is surely something for your appetite and budget. In addition to the food items, why not try my personal favorite a cappuccino, however if you are feeling the urge for something sweet may I suggest a local honey latte or a latte with your choice of "Ghiaradelli" chocolate.

In closing, as a citizen of New Carlisle, where Penny Lane is located, I couldn't begin to tell you how much of an asset it is to this community. Local churches and members of our community are oftentimes seen in the cafe enjoying a soup or sandwich accompanied with a fresh cup of "Boston Stoker" coffee, so you know it's a hit with our locals. Staff: Friendly, kind, patient, helpful, knowledgeable of the menu Menu: Quite extensive !! Lots of lunch options, and an okay amount of breakfast options. Food: I got the Donatello panini (pretty much an Italian sandwich), and it was absolutely delicious. Perfect ratio of meat to bread. If I ordered it again I’d add banana peppers. Tiramisu and cheesecake. Tiramisu stole the show. A very well balanced dessert. Not overly rich but very satisfying. Cheesecake wasn’t too memorable. Coffee: I had a cereal iced latte flight. So fun and creative ! The lucky charms one was okay! Just tasted like a vanilla iced latte with cereal in it. Captain crunch was decent! I’m not sure how much I liked the blueberry with the espresso, but maybe I need to try it again?? Maybe my pallet wasn’t ready for all of that. Honey Nut Cheerios was also okay! Just tasted like a honey flavored iced latte. Kinda fun if you love honey! And I’m sure that’s exactly what they were going for. Reese’s puff cereal: honestly.. you can never go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter anything ! But it was a bit too syrupy for me ! Atmosphere: Good, but nothing too noteworthy. I’m not sure what I expected from this place, but the art gallery somewhat delivered.. it had paintings on the wall… like a lot of coffee shops that don’t have art gallery in the name. I went to Penny Lane the first time today with a group of friends I ordered a flight of coffees and a Panini sandwich. The sandwich was very well-made. It was very good. I was very disappointed because I was the last one to get my flight and everybody else’s coffees were different colors and they had different flavors when I had received my flight of coffees it’s like the servers had become lazy and didn’t give me the flavors that were in the flight. All my coffee tasted the same. When preparing my flight I could see they were annoyed at how many people were in my party but just became lazy, I was very disappointed in the coffee.
