This was our first time at this little place and I cannot explain to you how delicious it is. If you are looking for authentic, filling, tasty Italian food, you need to go no further than new carlisle. We tried the lasagna and the salmon creamy pasta tonight, as well as the cannolis and the garlic butter baguette. Every single bite of this food is an adventure in good taste. I have never even been to italy, but I feel like I now know what it would taste like if I went! On top of that, it is unbelievable how much food is packed into those little containers for takeout. We easily had enough of each entree left over to make meals for tomorrow as well. It is very clear to me that the cook in this kitchen knows exactly what he's doing, and we are privileged to have him in our County. He has a rotating menu each week of scrumptious things. They mostly do carry out, but they have some tables in their cute little places, if you'd like to dine in. They are so friendly as well. It is convenient to call an order or we even ordered by Facebook Messenger. I highly recommend this place, and I can say that pasta I had for dinner might be the best pasta dish I've ever had in my life. If you have not tried this place yet, you are truly missing out. Get there...OFTEN. (For a price point, we had two cannolis, a whole loaf of baguette, salmon bowtie pasta, and lasagna, enough for two meals for two people, and our...

Went in thinking I wanted a spaghetti or lasagna with a tiramisu...but none of that was on the menu. Its a rotating menu, so I can deal with that. The food was fine, but the portion was terrible. I ordered the pesto gnocchi and added chicken and mushrooms. They clearly emptied some of the gnocchi from it and REPLACED it with the chicken and mushrooms instead of just adding it. It cost 5 more dollars to add it, so I'm looking at this tiny dish that I paid $17.50 for thinking it's not worth what I added to it. The atmosphere was below average (no easily accessible bathrooms, a/c didn't seem to be working right despite a warm day, everybody inside looking a little sweaty, my wife having to use the menu as a fan). I don't want to take anything away from someone who really likes them, but it's nowhere near a 5 star experience. By all means, give them a try. The food's not bad, but if I'm going to spend that much money, I know a lot of other places I would go instead. You're just as likely to end up at the $20-30 price per person as you are the $10-20 that's listed. The staff...
Read moreWent due to the 5 stars. You order food at the counter and pay up front, all soda is in cans and no public bathroom. Since it was our first time they did tell us if I needed to go they would escort me through the kitchen to the staff bathroom. I won't even go on about what I think about that. When the food came it came in take out containers (the little black ones with clear lids). We ordered dessert that I no longer wanted but (pre paid for) so got it to go. As they were bagging it up my husband asked if they make them and they said only the tarmasu the rest they buy elsewhere. I ordered cheesecake had one bite and rest went in trash. Never had a dessert I threw away. We also had to clean our own table when done eating. Not sure where the 5 stars came from? Friendly staff yes...food, price, quality,...
