If I could give them no stars, I would. People please beware and use caution when buying expensive furniture from them. We purchased over 8k worth of furniture since moving here and the store associates seemed very helpful when we were looking to buy. But after you pay and get your furnature they donāt seem to give a s_hit. -Our last purchase included a Italian couch & love seat and with what we paid for it having it sag on one side and a large gap in the middle of seat when reclining. We donāt even sit on it hoping to get someone to look at it-still waiting. -Iāve been very polite and understanding through this just trying to get it looked at and fixed. Iāve called and spoke a few store associates and Dennis. I send pictures of the problem, left messages, and took my valuable time and gas to travel back to the store twice in hopes to get this fixed. Oddly, the store associates seem to know what is wrong with it that may or may not be hard to fix. -We have been told numerous times that Dennis was coming 3 different days and never showed up or called us. Dennis also spoke me on the phone and in person-only because I showed up at store and he was there and promise to come over 2 separate times and never did. -So finally, being so upset with him and the store with being lied to, I sent 3 separate text wanting them to please see our side and said āhow would he feel if this happened to himā? We requested him to pick up the loveseat for a full refund knowing we were not getting it fixed. There were no high pressure sales and overall it was a nice experience, that is until we tried to return a few items that didn't fit the space. Mind you, the items were not listed as a closeout and were not a special order. The owner, Dennis refused. In addition, the cost of the return items were a very small fraction of the cost of my total purchase price.
When I brought the items to the store to return them, Dennis again refused. He would not provide me with a copy of the stores return policy and offered a lot of excuses that made no sense. Needless to say, I canceled a pending order that I had with them and left the return items at the store after I was told to leave. The owner chuckled saying things like the customer is not always right and you think you're going to put me out of business? No, maybe not, but I will share my experience. Dennis, from Coastal Furniture, located at 14158 US Hwy 19, Hudson, Florida 34667, came to our rescue when a power recliner, only 3 years old, stopped working. The furniture store we purchased it from was closed due the owners retiring and we had no idea what to do. We called the manufacturer in Indiana, they contacted the sales representative in our area, and he contacted Dennis at Coastal Furniture in Hudson. Dennis came to our home personally, twice, wrestled with our chair, ordered several parts from the manufacturer, and had his professional service technician install a new motor in our chair this morning. Total cost for the motor and technician was $150 compared to purchasing a new recliner which would have been upward of $900-$1000 at a minimum. Dennis was not obligated to do anything, however, he simply chose to help us.
