Save A Lot — Local services in Huntington

Most of the food is good. Its in walking distance from me and its convenient. Me and my family go there quite often and have been customers for years. But their meats and dairy could be fresher. Not sure what happened. Many of their meats are brown. You pay for more fat and glue then meat itself. The meats have a strange taste to them, making it to were you have to heavily season them just to cover up the taste. All of their dairy products containers have a broken seal. Just squeeze the container and put your ear up to it. You will hear air coming out. Doesn't mean that its bad. Just needs to have better seals. On top of that, the save a lot were I go is cash only. All their card machines are damaged or broken. Foodstamp cards and debit/credit cards wont read. So remember to bring cash to avoid embarrassment. One of the larger and nicer stores ive been in. Only downfall was one cheackout lane had someone with 3 carts of stuff and the other one ended up taking longer because the guy was a talker and not a talker who can scan an item while his mouth was open.
