Honestly, I hate to be one to speak illy on a new business⦠But a business designed to take from small businesses is really disturbing to me. We had a spot at the Huntington Peddlers Mall & we thought it was going to go great! Every other person we had spoken to whom had a spot in KY had said that it was a great thing! So⦠we tried the one close to us out. We were greeted nicely.. Our first month we had a few things go missing- I mentioned this to many people working here & the reactions every time was different. The first time I was told to check the back- I did. Nothing of mine was back there. 2nd time once again- theyād keep an eye on other booths for my stuff. Check the back. Okay. Because checking the back was going to make my belongings reappear. And I swear- each time I told them something was missing- 2x the amount would be missing the next time. Another thing, they tell you to CLEARLY label the items- which we ALL did. Yet somehow⦠I never knew what I was selling half the time because theyād relabel my shirts. āRed Shirtā āStickerā āBagā yadayada but not what I put on the label. And then⦠I had items being charged WRONG! Shirts that were $20 being charged by them for $5-10 Earrings that are $10 being charged for $5! And when I told the women who worked there they laughed & said- āThe men arenāt as qualified as us- they donāt take their time. They rush through & just put whatever in.ā Okayā¦. But where does that leave me? WITHOUT my money & my product! & they still took $145 a month & their 8% sales with no other thought about them stealing from us small businesses. & Were not the only ones with this same exact problem. Many other people have pulled their booths from this mall- because $145 & 8% to be left in the hole just isnāt cool. Sure- you may still be getting a check but once you add up what was stolen & priced wrong⦠it just isnāt worth it. Itās insane. They shouldnāt open this up if they are not qualified. They should have a better answer than the answers they gave⦠& they sent us a letter to tell all of US how we could better our booths & sales!! š Like⦠we are marketeers⦠we literally do this for a living. We know what we need to and not need to do⦠The only problem is we canāt sit watch over our stuff & instead other people are & lo & behold⦠when that happens⦠your stuff goes missing & is underpriced by those trusted employees. Insanity. It definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible! Who has a "purse policeman" at the door? I drove 35 minutes to this location and shopped 1-1/2 to 2 hours to be confronted by the manager who told me that my purse was too large and I'd have to return it to my car to continue shopping there. What? I've got stuff in my cart? I'm buying, not stealing. Well, I carry a normal size tote that isn't permitted in this mall. It upset me dearly. I even started to cry until he said that the policy was clearly posted and he hoped I could read. How rude!! I can read. Why didn't the girls I had a conversation with at the front counter tell me my purse was " too large?" I'm a 60-year-old, Christian woman who enjoys shopping with your average size purse. There was nothing posted on the web page or Facebook page stating I could not shop here with my average size tote. How misleading is that?? I left. No purchase made though I had items. No vendor receiving that help on that $137 a month booth rental. Talked with a lady in the parking lot who was also sent packing, vowing to never return because of the "purse police" and her too large bag. Okay thievery is an issue but who gets to determine the size of your bag says you're a thief? I mean thieves put T-bones in their pants in YouTube videos, not 60-year-old, Conservative housewives who enjoy shopping and buying. This policy definitely needs a review. Why were there monitors on the counter. I clearly was not a thief if you'd even checked the monitors. Think twice before shopping here but think really hard before selling here. How many sales will you miss out on because a decent, actual paying customer is turned away and won't be buying here because they carry a tote? Who is really making money with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wouldn't recommend spending a dime in this place. The staff (with the exception of a few) have attitudes they are very unfriendly and unwilling to help you. I purchased a rather large antique which I had to pick up the next day. I drove down to pick it up and was told I wouldn't receive any help getting it loaded onto the cart or into my vehicle that it was against store policy. This is something that was not mentioned to me up on the original purchase but only after I had returned the following day to pick it up. This cost me another 2 hour trip the fallowing day. As an avid Shopper of antique stores this was the first time I had ever heard of this store policy. Keep in mind I travel all over the states to different antique stores. Most antique stores are more than happy to help you load your items. There is a sign that doesn't mention this which is not easily seen. It is posted very high on the wall above the windows along with a lot of other signs that make you feel unwelcome stating that it is a private business and they have the right to refuse service to anyone that they please. I feel bad for the vendors of this store because I know these policies can only hurt...
