I would like to make it clear that I love Aldi's!!!! I am not giving a 1 star review because of the store. My kids and I come into Aldi's every afternoon after I pick them up from school to get dinner groceries. I am leaving a 1 star review because of the cashier that checked us out today. The cashier's name is Thaddeus and this was at 3pm on 9/13/24 at the store on South Memorial Parkway in Huntsville Alabama. She was incredibly rude to my one year old son!!! He was sitting in the front part of the cart and had just woken up from a nap so he was a little cranky. He was wanting to hold one of the sticks that divide people's groceries at the checkout counter and she was literally in a pulling match with my 1 year old baby trying to get the stick out of his hand! I had to tell her to stop and let me get it from him. Then I went to put it down and apparently I didn't put it where she wanted me to and she very rudely let me know that's not where it's supposed to go. If she can not deal with families and children properly and professionally then she should not be working there. I greatly hope that she gets spoken to about this matter because my family are daily customers...
Read moreWe love Aldi. Just about everything we have gotten there is as good or often better, than name brands. The produce tends to be a bit spotty in quality, sometimes excellent and incredibly cheap such as avocados for 32 cents each which I purchased yesterday and other times, not so much. Staples such as oatmeal, maple syrup, honey, yogurt, milk, tea, and their delicious raisin bread, for example, are unbelievably cheaper than the big stores and excellent quality. They also have a wonderful assortment of cheeses and imported chocolates. Check out the seasonal imports of dozens of German goodies from chocolate confections, truffles, and stollen to fabulous mustards, braunschweiger and bratwurst. So good! Just be aware, however, that "special buys" are just that. They will only have them for a limited time so stock up if you see something you like because it probably won't be...
Read moreFor the last 5 or 6 years we have went to this Aldi and shopped. But lately it seems like they are out of touch with the company and customer. They rarely have anything advertised that is a speciality. For some reason instead of coming in before opening or staying late after closing to re-Stock the shelves they do it during peak times and block multiple isles with their over loaded carts making it hard to navigate and get what you need. Also to note their prices arnt much lower if any at all with the Walmart across the street. Making it pointless to shop their unless you want to save 5 or 10 cents for your whole order. We have found other Aldi stores in the area adjust their prices to the area instead of one standard so we started driving the extra 2 or 3 mile to shop at the larger fully stocked store beside Sports Academy. This store is on the down hill slope and...
