Vern's RadioShack - IF — Local services in Idaho Falls

I really wish they had more pcb components. They have a lot, but could add a little more common resistors, caps, IC's and others...(Edit: I also would have liked to see 3D printers, parts, and filament. There was some replacement parts which is really nice to have a local supplier. I'd love to see a CNC shield for arduino and a controller and more parts for open source machines and robotics. Radio Shack is a bit behind in some areas like that but hopefully they'll catch up. The big boy toys are AI controlled robotics and I could traverse the state and nobody would have parts for a project like that.) However, the average consumer will find a wonderful selection of cables, adapters, projects for adults and kids, as well arduino, clones and alternatives plus modules and sensors. They had some awesome RC's and STEM learning kits that are essential education in 2023. They also had scanners and radios of all kinds as well as the best selection of batteries. I traveled over 100 miles and it was worth it. The staff are very knowledgeable in electronics and I told them what I was building, which was a more complicated project, and they understood it and knew every component I'd need....

Megan is probably one of the most friendly sales associates I have ever had the pleasure to interact with in a retail environment. Not only is she highly personable and full of humor, she is exceedingly helpful to the point that she’ll make sure you’re taken care of no matter what. Today I visited to look for some uncommon audio connectors for my DJ gear. While they had what I needed, the connectors were packaged with a bunch of other connectors that I didn’t need. She was willing to work with me in a way that made sure I was taken care of. That is some seriously awesome customer service. I have always left this store a satisfied customer when Megan is able to assist me. If I could rate this store, and Megan for that matter, higher than 5 stars, I would do so in a heart beat. Thank you, Megan and Radio Shack....

I was visiting from out of state and needed an AC power cable for my audio system which I had left at home. I looked online for an audio/electronics store and discovered Vern's RS-IF. With fingers crossed I called the store and described the type of cable I needed. "Megan" quickly confirmed availability and put one on hold for me.

I came the next day with my piece of equipment and Megan plugged the RS cable in - it fit just like the OEM. Such a life saver ! Also, I found the store to be well-stocked and carefully organized so that "shopping" is made easy and quick.

Lastly, a comment about Megan: she was extremely knowledgable, personable, and just plain fun to talk to. All in all, a very pleasant experience, and I highly recommend this store for your electronics...
