Review #2: My husband and I got our hair done here again and I had booked a "bang transformation" on their website which is described as, "When you need more than a bang, trim, but not a full haircut. The service includes a shampoo and blow dry." and since I just wanted something new bc I'm trying to grow my hair out that's what I picked. It's supposed to cost $30. I booked the first appointment of the day and my stylist was at least 20 minutes late to work (which, I'm late a lot so I was understanding.) However, when she DID get there apparently her birthday was sometime this week so she HAD to open some gifts from coworkers, including at one point going back outside to someone's car to get a card. I have no idea what time we actually got started I do know my husband who got a "women's haircut" was done by the time she had dry cut my bangs and asked me IF I wanted a shampoo. I said yes then she shampooed me and put me under the hair dryer while she put color on someone else. Then she pulled me back out and kept cutting. I asked if she could kind of blend my growing out undercut which she did. I would have been happy at that point but she styled my naturally curly hair which had been straightened by the blow out with a curling iron (which, honestly, I thought she was just trying to make up for the incredibly late start). By the time I was done with my 9:30 bang transformation it was like 11:45. I wasn't in a hurry so I was still being pretty chill but I was getting hungry. My husband had already paid by the time I was done so I didn't realize until I got the email receipt that they'd charged me for a "women's haircut" which is $15 more. (Plus gratuity bc my husband is a sweetheart) It's really not the money or the fact that she was late so much as the combination of the two and the fact that she didn't get straight to work when she got there. I am always very weary when choosing a new hairstylist. I have naturally curly hair that I have had screwed up. I had one stylist that fixed it use the words “looks like it was cut with a chainsaw”. It is very had to trust someone new. I had to find a new stylist after being with one for 10+ years. I did some research and took a chance on Zuri Salon. Rod, the owner, cuts my hair and does the most WONDERFUL job! I came in with a picture of what I had been doing with my hair, but told him that I was also open to any ideas he had. He kept with what I did with a little bit of his vision and it turned it better than I have ever seen it. I have been going to him for a while now and have received so many compliments. I will never switch. In fact, I have appointments booked throughout the end of the year.

I also get my eyebrows done at Zuri with Shaunte. Before seeing her, my eyebrows were thin and didn’t really have any shape to them. I she has given them shape and there is no a fullness to them. I’m always on the go and my hair needed Jesus I tell you. It looked fried and dull. I randomly googled salons near me and found bloom! I called on an off chance they would have an opening the same day for an haircut and Leilani said she’d stay late for me. Upon arrival- one thing led to another and well your girl got a French foil, gloss, and a haircut 💇🏼‍♀️. This mama needed a pick me up and this is exactly what I needed. Leilani was very sweet and professional. I love how honest she was too. My hair has a mind of its own and likes to cause chaos instead of be straight forward when it comes to color. Needless to say, Leilani wasn’t happy with a few spots and wanted me to do one more touch up on it to get it to the desired color. I absolutely love how she was upfront. Most stylist would let you walk out knowing they weren’t happy with the really. I came in today for a quick touch up on a few stubborn spots and I went from dull to revitalized. Highly recommend!!
