Independence Swimming Pool — Local services in Independence

Absolutely enjoyed our visit to the Independence pool. Very reasonably priced for daily admission. Have 2 sessions 12pm to 5:30pm and a 6:30 to 8pm. May want to check their facebook page for closures because they host swim meets. Have a consession stand and a covered patio with picnic tables to eat at. Also have a hand full of shades up with chairs underneath. Rentable pavilion. Open grass areas to lay out towels. My kids enjoyed the water slides and diving board. Pool has a small child area with a small slide and water splash features. There is an Lily pad crossing and 2 different swim areas with different depths. Highly recommend for family's with swimmers, my 2 stayed busy...

It's so small and crowded your not allowed to bring floaties or waterguns. Only hand held fetching toys. You can't turn around nor do a flip without hitting anyone and the slide is really slow. There is more walk space than swimming place and its all covered with lounge chairs and never a place to sit because of it being crowded and you need to sit on the grass or the pavement. The old pool was better. It has room...

Really nice public pool. Only slight qualm with lack of deck space/chairs on busier days. Forces you to have to sit your things in grass then. Also, the shallow end has a deepish corner that little ones might find trouble while following friends or older siblings. There are very well marked depth lines on the bottom to tell the kids...
