Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Independence

Was really craving a good Dairy Queen hamburger and they ARE usually very good. A bit pricey but USUALLY worth it. I ordered the loaded triple steakhouse burger for my son and requested NO MAYO on his and got a reply of “ It doesn’t come with Mayo honey”…. First of all.. I have no idea what Mayo Honey is, maybe it’s a northern thing is what I thought since I’m from Alabama. So I proceeded with…. Ok, I wasn’t sure what all came on it and just wanted to make sure that you didn’t put any type of Mayonnaise on it. And as I tried to continue my order , I was interrupted with…. No one in front or behind me and let me say I understand that it had to be cooked but was asked to pull to the drive thru parking space which was fine but two cars went through before I finally got my order. If you like to wait, this is the place for you! Only 2 people working at lunch time on a Sunday, the cashier had no idea how to ring up the combos but eventually stumbled her way through it. I saw a car leave the drive through line before getting to the window.The chicken sandwich I got was hot and rather tasty. The fries were ice cold. This place has been hit or miss ever since the local owners sold it. If you're thinking about stopping here for a quick bite to eat, pass. There are better and faster options nearby. Extremely slow... not the employees fault- most definitely understaffed for dinner time. Has been this way for A LONG time. 2 people cooking, 1 person running drive through, and 1 kid running food orders, working front register, and making blizzards- or at least trying to do all that. Ownership and management need to address these problems, as it shows multiple people are seeing the same problem ALL THE TIME.
