Ok. 4 solid stars for sure and could have been a 5 if service was on point. First of all, the amount of people in line was a good indication of what to expect. Had tacos de lengua and cabeza. Both were legit good and worth the wait and chaos. Packed with flavor and not greasy or fatty. Salsa also has great flavor but was light on quantity so I asked for extra on the side. Tacos came topped with pinto beans which was a nice touch and an extra shot of protein. Also ordered agua de jamaica and it was way too sweet for me. Tasted pre-made but not a deal breaker. Ok... here's the why not a 5 star. Aside from service being slow, there's no indication that you have to order at the counter then select your drink from the grocery section to pay for everything on the way out. That would have helped the disorder of people waiting for food vs waiting to order. If they can fix this, 5 star is a no-brainer. I'll be back for sure when I'm in Independence. Check them out and support local biz. They also carry a lot of Mexican products.

Best tacos I have ever had! I have heard nothing but great things about this place and they came highly recommended. I had the time to stop in today and got 2 grilled chicken tacos, 1 carne asada and 1 pastor. The carne asada and grilled chicken tacos were delicious and amazing. I am not a fan of pork, but my family member said it was really good. The staff are super friendly and I will definitely be going back if not weekly, definitely a few times a month. You can even call ahead to get your order in! You HAVE to try it.

Every single thing I’ve ever eaten from here was immaculate. I prefer the pastor because it is unbeatable but my mom gets the asada and it’s also delicious. You can get it in a burrito, some street tacos, a torta and they will all be so delicious. I got some of their pozole today for dinner and it was so delicious. I have never regretted anything I’ve ever ordered from here except regretting not getting more because I could eat it all day breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I have to admit, it feels a bit strange walking into this place for the first time ever! I dont know how they work and the restaurant and market combo threw me for a twist. Right as you enter, there's the menu above you to order from, and the left side is the store, but you can go down a little hall in the front to the right to a seating area to eat.

I ordered a couple different kinds of tacos, expecting these to be like small street tacos, which they were, but... They were so loaded and delicious i couldnt finish them, which shocked me! They are great!

The only thing i think they should do different is help provide more information for customers at the restaurant when they come in. After taking your order, they dont mention anything about payment. You have to turn around and pay the market cashier. The menu should be more of a contrasting color, that would help newbies like me!

Otherwise, they were great! Nobody was mean, the food is great, good size portions, and the market has everything you need if you want to make any sort of Mexican dish at home, including preseasoned meats which i'll surely be going...

5/5 – A Hidden Gem for True Taco Lovers!

If you’re looking for authentic, mouthwatering tacos that taste like they came straight from the heart of Mexico, this spot is it! From the moment you walk in, the smell of fresh tortillas and sizzling meats hits you—in the best way. The carne asada was perfectly seasoned, the al pastor had just the right amount of sweetness and spice, and the handmade corn tortillas held everything together beautifully. Don’t skip the house-made salsas—they pack flavor and heat.

The staff was super friendly and clearly passionate about their food. Portions were generous and prices more than fair for the quality. Whether you’re a taco connoisseur or just someone who appreciates great street food, this place delivers. I’ll definitely be back (probably...
