Terrible experience. I had recently purchased a gaming pc from a coworker with the plan to take the 2060 super gpu out and put into my current build while using my slightly older gpu in this new build for my girlfriend. After ordering a new psu, ram, and ssd to complete the build, I was still left with the cpu and motherboard that came with the pc when I bought it. Finally, everything was put together and built. When I powered it on, I had lights with no display. After a little research, the only solution that I had narrowed it down to was it needed a bios update (the board (b450m pro4) needed bios update 3.30 to support a ryzen 7 3700.) I didn't have the means to do an update, which requires another ryzen cpu, so I reached out to EmB to see if they had bios update capabilities. After telling me they were capable of performing a bios update, I took it in and again explained all of this info to them that the motherboard is only compatible with a bios update. I also requested updates when they looked at it to let me know what was going on. A few days went by with no calls or updates, so I called in to see how it was going and I was told that the person working on it wasn't there so they couldn't give me an update. I thanked them for taking my call just to wait through the weekend and well into the next week before calling again. When I called, the person working on my computer "went home with a headache" so again, no update. At this point, 8 days had gone by since I dropped it off and all it needed was a simple bios update, which they said they COULD do. I told them I wanted to pick it up the next day regardless of status so I can fix it myself. The 9th day I finally got a call from them saying "your motherboard is not compatible with the cpu in the pc." Gee, thanks! It took a massive 9 days to tell me the same thing I told them on the first day; It needs an update to be compatible. I went to pick up the pc, in the same status I dropped it off in to find out they charged me $90 for labor. $90 to tell me what I already knew was wrong with it instead of calling and saying they couldn't help me. They did nothing to the pc and provided me with no new info that I didn't already know when I could've bought close to a brand new motherboard that supported the cpu with the $90 labor charge. EXTREMELY disappointed and upset with my service there. This might slide with someone who doesn't know much about computers, but this is completely ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and take your...
Read moreI called EmB when unsolicited technical assistance appeared on my MacBook Pro. I was afraid to click anywhere on the site which would appear when I turned the computer on and any time I changed from one Application to another. I called EmB on Monday afternoon and the technician was at my place on Tuesday morning and quickly found where the unsolicited tech had latched into my computer and did whatever they do to get rid of them.
since he was there we had him check my husband's computer which is a PC. He was also able to clean that up without any problems and answer some questions my husband had about transferring files.
The technician, Mr. Church, was quick, efficient and professional. Thank you EmB for starting and maintaining your fine company. People really need a...
Read moreEMB computing fixed our daughter's iPhone twice. One time it was hit by a water balloon and the second time it was dropped. Eric Brocious was amazing! Wonderful, prompt service at a reasonable price and the phone looked and worked like new!! We have also utilized EMB computing for assistance with our home WIFI which now works perfectly with two teenagers (and their friends) in our house who both use Chrome books provided by the IASD. Lastly, we most recently used EMB computing to purchase new printer cartridges for our home office printer which is older but still functioning like a champ. Eric was able to magically find the exact ones that we needed in color and...
