After visiting the magistrate office where i learned not every magistrate is knowledgeable on the laws of Pennsylvania’s vehicle code. I stopped by this delightful gem of a spot. If you are looking for outside seating ir great food at a great price then this is the spot. They also sell some old time candies and free refills on drinks. I was extremely satisfied and after eating the 3$ container of pasta salad with various meats and peppers along with olives i am sure there is a special name for it but it was awesome. Hit the spit and for 3$. Now i was a little disappointed that when i asked if i could get a larger tale home container they could not provide. However i bought 7 if the 3$ containers and they double bagged it put ice all around and set me up for my drive home. I am writing this review as i enjoy one of the last 3 i have. The staff was eager to please and helpful. This reminds me of small business family owned and trying to compete with the larger food chains. I say go and support them. They represent American small business they keep pricing within budget and the food is on point. I will 100% be visiting when i go to court because i had to file a appeal on my case because hiw can anyone properly serve as a judge when they do not lnow the law in question, they do not take a moment to read the law and its verbiage. They just decide that they will rule on the case without properly addressing the fact they should have taken a recess and spent 5 min to educate themselves on this particular law. Its a slap in the face when you spend 5 hours on the road one way to defend a traffic citation that should have never been written in the first place. Most would need to take a day off work. Plus today’s gas prices. You are fully invested in receiving a fair trial and afterwards all you feel is cheated and belittled because this court felt it was not necessary to educate itself on the law. Hey no one expects you to know it all. But i do expect you to have the integrity to take a moment out of your day and research the law so you can provide proper legal finding on certain matters concerning equipment used in traffic controls. After my great experience we decided to fill the tank with some great east coast sour DIESEL and took a moment to be grateful for the wonderful meal and headed home excited to revisit another day. Thank you for ending the day on a positive note after such a...
Read moreThis past week we placed an order of food as well as pre made food for a lunch with my Mom. When checking out I asked if everything was in the bags and the clerk responded yes so I assumed the ordered food was placed in the bags as well from her response. Drove home half hr away to realize when getting food out that the ordered food was NOT in the bags. Realizing it was a misunderstanding we figured they would take care of making 2 new hoagies and fries. We didnt have time to go back until 2 hrs later due to an impending Dr appt we had. We called to let them know that we didn’t get our ordered food and asked if there was any way they could remake it and we could pick it up in two hours after the doctors appointment. The manager was rude saying it was our fault and our responsibility that we should’ve checked And we told her we asked and the girl said that everything was in there. She argued with us for a minute and then finally said that she would put the old food on a new hoagie for us to pick up in two hours! So that food was going to sit for a total of three hours before we picked it up. After arguing she finally agreed to remake the items. Whatever happened to good customer service. Whatever happened to the customer is always right. At the end of the day it was an honest mistake on both of our parts and just for good customer service why argue and just make the two hoagies over again along with the fries with cheese? She was acting like as if we didn’t pay for the food at all. Will never go back because of the poor treatment...
Read moreAfter 4 years of going to Indiana University of Pennsylvania, I figure I at least owe this place a review. 5 stars, not because I'm generous, but because they earned it. Currently, I live about a 30 second walk to this place and I STILL find myself never getting sick of their food. They make the BEST SUBS in TOWN! Don't let Bob's Subs down the street fool you with their subs, 9th street is the place to go. Everything here is cooked to order, and everything is fresh including the bread (daily). They have a HUGE variety of subs you can get, probably 30 different drink choices, a huge fridge for cold meals, and lets not forget the massive WALL (thats right, the whole restaurant wall on the right when you walk in) of snacks! This place is so old school, you can buy bubble gum for like a nickel still if you want.
Subs to try: The cowboy steak sub, or, my personal favorite, steak and cheese, add egg, add hot sauce, with american cheese.
ALSO: Try their hidden gem, the cheese fries. I never see people getting these anymore… But back when 9th street owned and ran Webeez out of the van near Phi Psi and Sig Chi, their cheese fries and subs were a hit at 2am. THEY OFFER THEM AT 9TH STREET ALL DAY!!!
CONS OF 9TH STREET DELI: Not open on Sundays any more, and they aren't open past like 8:30 or 9PM.
TL;DR - Try this place out, you won't be...
