Philly Street Candle Bar — Local services in Indiana

I never make reviews but I feel so compelled to do this. Do not waste your time going here. It’s beautifully decorated and renovated, but this “creative activity” is NOT calming or relaxing like you would think. I was a part of a party and we were rushed for “another party” that never showed. We were never given clear directions of what to do. We had many markers in front of us with the clipboard and a card stock “recipe” sheet in front of us. We started by just putting our names on it with a marker. The woman walked over and said, with a straight face and flat tone, “those aren’t for that. The pens are.” I started to look on the table, no pens. “Well they’re up by the clipboards!” We sat down to the clipboards at our seats. She even proceeded to say that the card stock sheets were expensive. This woman’s attitude was so negative. It was stress-inducing, annoying, and communicated that she was absolutely bothered by all of us. I’m very disgusted that I gave this establishment $63. It’s easy to be kind. At every given step, this “instructor” chose to be snappy and rude. This process is not organized or thought out at all. People went home with the wrong candles. First off this place is absolutely BEAUTIFUL 11/10 for the decor and cozy atmosphere!! We were so excited to make a candle! As you walk in you are directed to a wall of “base scents” which held 100+ candles. You were suppose to smell these scents and write down your favorites to mix in to your custom creation. We sampled nearly every scent and couldn’t smell 95% of them. It was so disappointing! We chose not to stay and make our own candle just based off the extreme lack of scent the already poured candles had. Our whole family, 3 generations, blended through divorces and remarriage came in today to celebrate my daughters birthday and the wonderful connections we have because of her. Derek and Jade were wonderful and so patient. We kept adding more candles because we were having such a good time creating fragrances that explained our memories. They kept up with all of us, provided such helpful guidance, and even though it was like herding cats they managed to get us through the experience! Thank you both so much!
