Its ok if you just need a few things but this store is in dire need of renovation and other upgrades, But how can you call your business SAVE-A-LOT when most of your prices are much higher than your competitors? So exactly who is saving a lot by shopping here? It must be the owner or possibly the employee's because i know i have payed almost double for the same products at other stores so it sure isn't the customers.
Update: I'm in the area quite often and something I've noticed more than half the time is that there are carts all over the place after hours, surely they have someone to collect these carts before the store closes, I've even seen these carts on side streets and in nearby fields or on sidewalks, But i have made management aware of carts I've seen on the side of the railroad tracks behind tha building, which I'm sure are the result of the homeless but at least 6 carts are up there still, eventually they are going to run out of working carts for customers and then what? My suggestion is bring in the carts before closing and people wont take them!
Oh and one last thing that is just a suggestion, The food that is still good that is thrown in the dumpster i think should be placed in boxes or bags and sat NEXT to the dumpster so homeless and others wont have to climb in the dumpster and throw trash all over the place trying to get to the food, And locking the gates on the dumpster won't work to stop it because when people are hungry they will do anything to fill that void, And no gate or chain is going to stop that, It has to be better than someone hungry stealing...
Read moreI stopped at this Sav a lot to grab a few items and almost went somewhere else. This doesn't look a store location at all until you get up to the door, it looks like an old polling place or a lodge of some sort and that it used to be a Sav a lot store. I turned around and almost exited the lot but I saw the lights through the windows. The store itself was like other Sav a lot stores for the most part but it kinda feels like the store was just thrown in that location, you just feel that the store is "left out" for lack of a better way to put it and probably a lack of advertising for that store location because I had no idea that it was there. The set up and location are great but you can tell that new store struggle is still seem strong, the shopping carts may have been from a different store but they were at least free. The staff/attendants that I saw all seem to be friendly and approachable, the store felt like it was smaller than other Sav a lots but it could just be my imagination. I can't really say much about pricing because the price of everything everywhere is going up but in comparison they still have decent prices, still one of my go to's! I notice they don't provide the free bags at the bagging station anymore so bringing your own is absolutely a good idea but if not they are not too expensive to buy at check-out. It was a Sunday and virtually no one in the store so there was no wait time to check out, only spent around $20 and was out the door. I...
