I'm very particular about smoked mullet, mainly because so many places dry it out during their smoking process. Well, I tried the smoke mullet Brooks sells. Simply put, it was quite amazing. A nice smoked flavor, seasoned wonderfully, flaky, and definitely not dried out. They only had the regular smoked mullet, and I wanted to try both regular and BBQ. Few bones to pick out, which is normal for smoked mullet, but not an excessive amount like I've found at other places. My younger sister actually went in for me. She said the staff were very friendly, courteous, and helpful. The price for the smoked mullet was fair. I look forward to trying some of their offerings, especially the BBQ smoked mullet. The amount of work that is being done and has been done at the dock and for the fish house is incredible. I grew up here and can tell you one thing it never looked that good!! When I first heard that someone bought it and was gonna re do the place I didn't think it was gonna look that amazing and the fish coming in!! O my goodness if y'all don't know you are missing out! Check em out!! You may be surprised at how incredible the Brook's have made the old dock come back to life. Now if only Captains Cove would appreciate the difference in it too, but we can't all be fisherman at heart! Or maybe the Cove should go back to being owned by some...

Update: the food truck is phenomenal.. I think the hush puppies are gonna be hard to beat anywhere. The shrimp quesadilla was bomb and now they offer two kinds of fish dip in the market. Both ere so good! Extremely grateful we made it back down to try all the new stuff out
