I just went to Great Escapes Inman escape room with my daughter and grandaughter over the weekend. It was absolutely incredible and cannot recommend it enough! We made the reservation online and the price was very reasonable. Upon arriving, we were delighted to see that the room was reserved for just us. The theme was a missing persons case. The “sheriff” came out, in character, and thanked us for helping him solve this case and told us to follow him to the room all in character. The theme of the room was insane! It was as if we were on a movie set and extremely realistic with detail that extended beyond necessity (which greatly added to the immersion). All of the puzzles were extremely unique and fun unlike some other escape rooms, and were perfectly difficult (not to hard or easy). They offered unlimited clues without penalty, and even the acquisition of these clues via the gamemaster was in theme/character. The room was rigged with hydraulics and sound effects, and there was 3 rooms within the one room, one being an entire convenience store that you eventually get the key for. I have been to other escape rooms before and this is one of the best ones I have ever been to. The owners were extremely kind and friendly. If you are looking for a great room to play for a first time, this sets the standard for what a good room should be.

We've done a handful of escape rooms and this one is probably my 2nd favorite. There are just enough puzzles that it is possible to get through it. Some of the places we've been, we would run out of time and we would hardly have been half way done which left us more frustrated.

After our run, we sat for almost an hour talking about the different puzzles, how they designed them and how they work. The ingenuity for some of these are incredible. I also love how they give you some sort of starting point. Other places just say "Ok, have fun" but Great Escapes incorporated a place to start as part of the experience.

There are enough red hearings to keep you on your toes but not enough to over whelm you. If you honestly do not need it, it will not move.

If I had to give an improvement to the experience, I would suggest utilizing more of the room. A lot of time is specific to one area. Because of this, I would not want to do this with more than 3-4 people unless they were able to add puzzles where a larger group could split into two.
