I have never left a google review but after the experience we had at this store, I feel the need to warn other brides about the owner of this store and her practices. I went to Love Me Some Lace after my sister-in-law found her dress there. I went in excited about dress shopping, as it was my very first time trying on wedding dresses. My stylist was incredibly kind, and helped me pick a variety of dresses to try on. She could tell I was overwhelmed and did not feel great about picking a dress, and assured me it would be okay if I thought about it, and came back at a later time. About half way through trying on dresses, the owner, Taylor, came in and the mood of the entire store shifted. I tried to continue trying on dresses with a positive attitude but Taylor kept interjecting herself, and made the entire experience much more overwhelming than it should have been. Finally, I tried on a dress and walked out and immediately said "it's okay, but it's just boring". At that point, Taylor came over and added fabric to the top, dressed it up with a veil, and did everything she could to make me like the dress. I still did not love the dress, but Taylor in all her franticness said "oh I think we have found the one" and in an overwhelmed state, I agreed that this would be the dress. I foolishly paid for the dress in full and left. My party and I went to lunch and we all immediately agreed that I was pressured into buying the dress, and it was not one that I loved. I called Taylor just a couple hours later and explained to her the situation, and she was incredibly rude. She told me that they had not ordered the dress, and that nothing had been done as far as the order being made, but would still not give me a full refund. I offered to give the stylist that helped me a large tip, and tried to talk through any solution to cancel the transaction, but she had the absolute worst attitude, and would not work with me. I accepted the partial refund and went to Dressing Dreams in Hartwell, GA where I had an INCREDIBLE experience. They were kind, calm, and the entire experience was laid back and positive. Their prices are even cheaper than most of Taylor's inventory, and their selection is unreal. They have rooms and rooms full of gorgeous dresses, and the stylists and even the owner made it the absolute best experience. I found the dress of my dreams with no pressure, and they said that if any of their brides ever change their mind within the first couple days, they always offer a full refund, as that is just good business practice. If you are a bride, I cannot recommend Dressing Dreams more, and please don't waste your time at Love...
Read moreI met the owners of Love Me Some Lace at the wedding festival in Greenville, SC on June 12, 2023. I spoke with both of them for a few minutes about their shop and what they offer. They told me that they have a private party after hours on Saturday’s called “wife of the party”. It is $150 to book and it’s from like 6pm to 9pm. The thing that caught my attention was that they mentioned if you purchase a dress from them after booking this party, your $150 will actually go towards your dress, and the party was basically free. I booked the party for July 15 and when I say that I had the most amazing time, I am not exaggerating! Prior to my appointment they communicate with you to make sure that you’re still available for your appointment and they also sent an email about what type of appetizers and food you would like for your party. We picked the shrimp cocktail, you also get a charcuterie board and I picked chicken and waffles for my “dinner”. They give you champagne, tea, water and dessert as well. I went to my booking this past Saturday, we started with the dresses and trying them on and finding what look best on me all while eating on the shrimp cocktail and a charcuterie board. After we were done with the dresses, we moved to the dinner portion of the party, and then ended with dessert. My experience was phenomenal and I recommend this to any bride! They make you feel so special and beautiful in all of the dresses that you try on. They really try to help you find what fits you best along with what style you are going for. It was also nice to have the place to ourselves and not have to worry about looking at another bride that might not look like you or worrying about what other people think when you come out of your dressing room! I did not buy a dress yet, but the experience alone was...
Read moreLove Me Some Lace has so many GREAT qualities. The staff are very welcoming and inviting, the decor and ambience of the store are elevated and beautiful. I definitely would recommend this business even though giving it three stars. Ir's a great place to figure out what you want and the style that will work best for you in a wedding dress. The only downfalls I faced when going were two things. Not major things, really just things that were notes. When arriving, I was very surprised by the consultant that was helping us. She was wearing uggs, black leggings and a very oversized, long sweatshirt that looked like a bedshirt while also at the same time wearing a toboggan with hair that was very unkept and no makeup on whatsoever that looked like she just woke up. In this role, just because I have been to multiple different bridal salons, it's usually a role where they all are very presentable and professional in their appearance. Again, just a minor thing but just thought I'd address to correct for future purposes!! Also, not really anything as far as a fault but the selection was very sparse. I do know they just moved to a new location so they will probably be getting more styles to choose from at a bigger location but I think the reason we didn't find anything was from a very small selection. But again, GREAT PLACE TO LOOK FOR DRESSES!! Even though the selection was small, there were still some to try that were some great contenders. This place has a great potential and I can see it becoming extremely popular in the...
