Bomgaars — Local services in Iola

It was way better before Bomgaars bought out Orschelin's. The shelves are often bare and nothing is organized. Also, if you search for Bomgaars this location doesn't come up but the owner responds to the old Orschelin's posts for some reason? Maybe taking credit for pre-buyout reviews before they went downhill? They didn't even have a 1/4 in hose barb mender.

I gave it another chance, and I'm standing here waiting for a receipt. Their system crashed, and they won't even give me a handwritten receipt. I even wrote it out for them. I just wanted a simple record of the transaction to make sure I wasn't improperly charged. Also, it wouldn't be right if I wasn't charged.

Too many issues for me. I'll give it several months if I do come back. Finally left...

This place is a great one stop store for all things Farm, and many other things, like plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, hardware, welding, and now they've updated the store to include Firearms, ammo, and accessories galore. They also carry some pretty nice larger gun safes and put them on sale during certain times of the year. Staff is Great! Sometimes there's a mix up on price markings , I think due to needing a few more staff dedicated to nothing but stocking, ordering, and checking prices on the shelves, but that's about the only complaint I've got. And if you need little parts, you've got a heck of a selection...

The store is pretty good but the cashier, which is the main one, is totally worthless and very rude. I shopped some items throughout the store, waited forever in line because she wouldn't call another cashier and she was having full conversations with other customers instead of taking care of the 5 people waiting in line. When it was my turn, she told me all the items I had picked out were regular priced, not 40% off like the signs all said. She said that I needed to be a reward member in order to get the sale price. After driving 30 miles and being told this, I told her to take all of it and shove it!!...
