Food Lion — Local services in Irmo

This store is okay. However, it is not stocked with enough merchandise on the sale items, they are always out of the items that are on sale that I have planned on picking up from the sales ad. Sure you are able to get a raincheck, however, it's usually something I needed or wanted to fix or needed for use at that time, so I have to end up going somewhere else to pick it up. Also, the bagging is terrible and my bread usually gets smashed no matter what I tell them. I'm not being a prude, however, no matter how young you are and inexperienced, common sense should tell you about certain things if you just stop and think about it before you act upon it. Some are kind and helpful, maybe a little more training and time things will get better. Thanks for your interest in listening. My husband and I do most of shopping here. Good store, but customer service could be better. Yesterday my husband left his soda in the store. Went right back in and was told that’s not our problem and they made him rebuy his soda. They wouldn’t let him look for it. Even though we had all our bags and the receipt. Very irritating to pay twice for something. We also got a $20 store coupon as part of their Thanksgiving promo. Went to use it a week after earning it and was told nope it’s expired. Even though there was no expiration date on the coupon. Manager just said no too and didn’t even bother to look at the coupon. We like this store and spend good money here, a little more customer service is expected. There was no reason they couldn’t help us in both situations. It was my first time Shopping at this Food Lion. The store was great and they had a lot of selection for everything I needed. When I went to check out, the cashier (Paitin?) was extremely rude. When I could not find my MVP Card she got annoyed. Then I entered my phone number on the card reader too soon and it messed up something. Instead of just being polite when I apologized for my mistake, she went “UGH”. She appeared to be very annoyed to even have to Check out my groceries. Then she tried to enter my phone number on her side and seem to be very frustrated when the number wasn’t the right one for my card. I just ended up telling her to forget it paid for all of my groceries and left. I was just in disbelief that she got so frustrated when I entered my phone number at the wrong time. Not great...
