Our daughter LOVES the Tutu Toddler classes! She has been attending since roughly 1 & 1/2 years old (first at the HB location and now at the Irvine school!) and it has been so much fun for the whole family to watch, ESPECIALLY the Bravo Bash recitals!
The curriculum not only encourages her love of dance, but also has made a huge impact on her overall coordination, patience, and focus. With no other kids to interact with outside of daycare/school, it has also helped improve her socialization skills. Every instructor guides the toddlers, encouraging them to participate in the routine, but they are not demanding. Each instructor really takes the dancers age and personalities into account (esp. our daughter who sometimes has the attention span of a squirrel!). They are so patient with the kiddos and try and ensure each student is engaged.
There is no strict dress code...just one simple policy that my toddler loves: come ready to twirl! She doesn't always want to wear a tutu, leotard, tights, or ballet slippers so its nice to give her the flexibility/autonomy to wear an outfit of her choosing. I feel this creates a space that allows her to focus on dance since she is comfy.
Tutu School has proven invaluable to our daughter. She gets to explore her love of ballet, enjoy the company of other kiddos and have a special daddy-daughter activity every week. I am so eager to brag about the program to other "toddler families" since I truly feel that so many of the skills she/we struggled with early on have improved thanks to your school. We are excited to see how her love of dance transforms...just like the butterfly she gets to be at the beginning of...
Read moreSuch a joyful first class at Tutu School Irvine! The studio is gorgeous (brand new, spacious, beautifully lit and decorated, freshly painted, beautiful chandelier in the restroom, etc). And we are beyond grateful for our daughter's teacher, Miss Kate; we cannot say enough good things about her. She is kind, soft/gentle with the children (our tiny ballerina is currently three years), warm, friendly, an excellent dancer, personable and adept at working with the children (and their various personalities and moods). She runs the class well, keeping the little ones engaged and yet not rushing them (there is no dead time). We cannot be more thrilled with our new Friday morning class. The various props, darling music, ballet curriculum of technique, terminology and French are impressive. Also, love the incorporation of imagination and free dance (the children are read the famous ballet stories then dance to the accompanying classical music while also being introduced to the composer). They've done a really nice job with this class, and you may come experience the Tutu School magic for yourself and your little one with their complimentary trial class. Well done, ladies; we look forward...
Read moreBoth of my daughters absolutely love Irvine Tutu School.
My 2-year-old daughter enjoys various physical activities using fun teaching aids and is fully immersed in ballet. There's free-style dance, storytelling, coloring, and even bubble time, which keeps toddlers engaged and interested.
My 5-year-old daughter is learning different poses like stretching, ballet moves, and steps. It’s amazing to see her improve at moves she couldn’t do initially.
The ease of signing up for makeup classes, which are offered unlimitedly if it's your first month, is particularly appealing. Thanks to this, we’ve experienced most of the teachers’ classes, and each one has their own style and strengths. I really appreciate how all the teachers remember my child’s name and help correct her poses. We always look forward to...
