So let me start off by saying that they swear they are "home financed" and that they base whether or not you are getting a car or not based on income, not credit, and that they do not check your credit score. My boyfriend specifically asked these questions as if they did, we would not have went. But they swore by it. So, my boyfriend drove an hour for a car he really liked. When we got there we started to look at the cars in the lot to try to find the one we came for and couldn't or to see if there was something else he liked. While we were looking, a man came up to us (I don't know his name he never told me and I never asked) and asked if we needed help. We told him that we were there to see Mustafa about a car we had been talking to him about. He said that Mustafa was not there (even though we could see him standing a few feet away on the phone and were more than happy to wait for him). He told us to follow him inside so we did. Inside he immediately asked for proof of income as by bank statements and deposits as my boyfriend said he got paid in cash and they said it wasn't a problem. Then they immediately gave him paperwork to fill out and they then checked his credit (which they said they don't do). Then they looked at his statements where he has deposits from a part time job and also cash deposits from his other job. My boyfriend doesn't get paid for his cash job until the job is done, so the money adds up. So he deposited a large amount of money after the job was done. There was another guy who was bald who told my boyfriend he "couldn't even buy a bike" with the income he had from his part time job. Very rude. Very unprofessional. When asked about the large cash deposit into the bank account, he stated "that could be anything, could be a loan or fraud". Excuse me? You said we could come if we had proof of cash and we did and now he's saying it could be fraud? So then he asked if I could co-sign. I said sure and filled out the paper work, however I already have my own car under my name. A few minutes later he told us that it wasn't going to work out and gave our paperwork back. When my boyfriend asked about the home financing he stated "its not working". Oh, and when my boyfriend asked if the car was even still there, he just stated "yeah we have a lot of cars" but yet we never saw the car we were there to look at.
Overall: home financing isn't a thing they work with a company called credit acceptance (a bank), they do check your credit, if you get paid cash even though they say it's okay it's really not, and then they swear to you the car you are looking for is there and then when you get there it will not be. Overall the worst customer service experience I have ever seen. The most unprofessional people I have ever seen. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. GO TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY...
Read moreDO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE. I have never written a Yelp review but I really want to save someone from making the same mistake I did. Where do I even startâŠ
When I looked at the car it had a flat tire, they said they would fix the issue before I picked the car up, and everything else seemed fine. So I bought the car. Within 20 minutes of driving it the tire had already gone down to low pressure again and would continue to do so every time I filled up. I returned to have them look at it and they send me to a mechanic. When he pulled out the tire the rim was completely dented. The damage was something that a mechanic couldnât have possibly missed if this dealership had the car checked out, as they said they did, but clearly they lied (see picture below). Not only that, but the spare tire was flat too, and under the spare tire was a filthy mess, as itâs clear they put zero effort into cleaning the car before I picked it up.
On top of this, when they gave me a price on the vehicle they told me that it was everything I would have to pay, since I wasnât financing. Only to find out later on that this dealership doesnât cover the sales tax. While there is certainly some negligence on my part of it knowing New Jerseys rules, but regardless l, they lied to me⊠again.
At this point it was already clear that this dealership is as dishonest as they come. The best part is when I took the car in for a routine oil change, but instead I found out that I need 2 new tires, 2 new rotors and that there is a potentially dangerous fluid leak. I have not gotten an estimate yet, but it wonât be cheap to fix.
Long story short, these guys sold me a broken car and lied to my face about numerous different things. Judging by the reviews, it appears this isnât the first time this has happened. Donât be fooled by the average rating on this place, they probably go bots to rate them because no one should ever buy from these...
Read moreDue to my challenged credit situation I ventured from New York to Jersey in search of a vehicle after discovering Magnum auto sales online. I completely understood I was not going to get a brand New unblemished car but hoping to find one that was well maintained and fairly presentable inside and out. Unfortunately the BMW I wanted had been sold but I stumbled upon a 2016 Hyundai Sonata 4 door sport model that was too good to pass on. It even had an up to date car fax detailing all the service since day one up until the present which reassured me even more about my decision in financing this particular car. I was even allowed to test drive it first and make sure that it drove and performed normally without any problem. I must emphatically state that the professional service I was given by Anthony and Emmy was extremely thorough and customer oriented. Despite the amount of prospective buyers that arrived on the lot they managed to conduct business very smoothly making sure they assisted everyone to the best of their abilities. I didnât see them only as sales personnel but also as genuine trustworthy individuals who desired to help me finance a top notch used vehicle and help me to re-establish my poor credit. I was given copies of every single page of paperwork that I signed and nothing was sketchy or shady about the whole process from start to finish. Overall I would recommend this used automobile establishment to those seeking to finance a car who might have difficulty in regards to their credit, income, or stubborn lender type institutions. I was sold more than just a car but sold that Magnum auto sales really cares about its customers and gives people like myself a chance when I had no...
